THE GOOD: -Flawless graphics, with realistic lighting and character model movement -Nice storyline, but that credit goes to Tom Clancy, that sly dog -Fun to play, many puzzles to solve
THE BAD: -Too short, ten levels, and four XBL levels to download...that is far from enough
SUMMARY: I know this review came a little late, but I just have to add my two cents on this game. I first bought this game in November 2003, and I beat the entire game in about a week, which is standard. After playing it, I realized that I had just about as much fun as I did when first playing Halo. This game hooks you, and makes you think that you are really Sam Fisher, and that the Russian mafia is actually after you. The part I liked most about this game is that it's strategy is not to go in guns blazing, but rather you need to use your intellect and spy tactics to get around. Plus, the storyline is rich, and the environment is amazing. From deep inside office...
THE GOOD: Awesome graphics Amazing real-time lighting effects Cool story Good voice acting Makes you think real hard Makes you check dark corners for the nexts 6 months after you play (long story) Great 360 degree camera
THE BAD: Can be EXTREMELY tough at some points Needs more checkpoints Enemies aren't THAT clever
SUMMARY: This game whips Metal Gear Solid's ass BIGTIME! It revolutinises the stealth-em-up and will be remembered in the History of gaming for being so original and just so good fun to play. Although you may often shout at your television screen later in the game about where the hell you have to go or what the hell to shoot, it's extremely satisfying when you get to the next checkpoint and especially when you finally complete the game. The lighting affects still kick any other game's ass apart from SCT (sequel)
THE GOOD: - greatest control i'v experienced with.. - stealth gaming definitely lives up to its name... - unique gameplay.. - great graphics and sound..
THE BAD: - not for an action gamers - patience is your enemy in this game.. - really challenging missions - this game will definitely piss you off.. if your not into this sort of thing..
SUMMARY: Tom Clancy has definitely got his name branded on games nowadays besides writing books, under Ubisoft comes Splinter Cell, originally stated for an Xbox exclusive back in 2002 only to be eventually released on the other 2 consoles..
SC has redefined stealth gaming, and when i say steatlh gaming, don't expect to blast your way through out this game.. If anything else, this is the successor to MGS series, with slick gameplay, you really control the character of Sam Fisher through out the game..
From his foot steps, to his actions, the game will definitely make you aware...
THE GOOD: ~The stealth like game play ~The graphics ~The physics ~The detail to many things ~The cool moves you can do
THE BAD: ~Not to much action at sometimes ~The enemies make stupid movements
SUMMARY: The first time I saw this game I wasn't to sure about it but I had cash and there wern't many good games out that I don't have so I went and got it. It turned out ok for the first mission but after that the game really kicks in.
There aren't may levels (nine) but they keep you in there for a while as they are quite big. Also this is a difficult game and it adds more time onto the levels you play.
The graphics are amazing with many different lighting affects which add to the atmosphere in the game. Also if you notice this game is one of the few that actually has coded atmosphere. This is where for eg. You walk past the sun but instead of the whole lighting affect been canceled the light goes around your body which...
SUMMARY: Chances are, you've heard about Splinter Cell's unbelievable difficulty levels. Well, let's face it, the game is damn hard the first time through. However, that should not stop you from purchasing the bad-boy! The graphics are awesome. Shoot out lights to creat shadows so enemies won't be able to spot you while you do your dirty work. The ability to do split jumps come in handy, but isn't used as much as it should. You can sneak up behind an enemy and force him to talk, or stick his head by a retina scanner to open a door. One mission has you going through a CIA building trying to find a particular man, and since it's an American organization, you can't use lethal force, ie bullets. This sets up some extremely challenging situations, but that's the awesomeness of Splinter Cell. Rather you have a PS2, Xbox, GameCube or PC, you should definitely look into...
Splinter Cell is one of the most stealth based, heart pumping, intense games of the year. Sam Fisher is a super spy, no not 007, but a American spy who sneaks around to get answers.
The thing about this game that makes it raw and powerful is the interaction between the eniemes and...you. You can grab a guard and force him to open a door or use him as cover while you shoot somebody down. And also you get to interrigate them and get questions answered. Also another cool feature with eniemes is that they arn't dumbass. The A.I, will make you use your talents to their limit.
The graphics will make you poop your pants. The shadows and clearness of the characters make it seem so cool and so real.
All in all, this game is a must have for any XBox onwer.
THE GOOD: -Stunning graphics -Cool gadgets -Good story line -Challenging to beat -A large array of weaponry -Some cool moves you can do -Downloadable content on XBOX LIVE
THE BAD: -A little on the short side. -Can get very frustrating from time to time Ahhh...thats about it.(those are the only reasons why i gave it a 4 rating)
SUMMARY: You are a U.S. Government agent named Sam Fisher, You have the right to steal, spy, destory and assassinate to ensure that you complete your mission and protect America from terrorists around the world. This game includes 9 pulse-pounding missions based on the books of a best selling author Tom Clancy. You can utilize tons of gadgets and weaponry to your advantage to complete your mission. Down load lots of new levels, weapons, and gadgets from XBOX LIVE. This was one of the first XBOX games i've ever bought and it really changed the way i looked at Tom Clancy's...
THE GOOD: This game has incredible graphics and fascinating gameplay. Interesting tools and ways of getting around make just progressing exciting. Here's the part you should write down:
This game is most fun when it's 1 in the morning, and you can your cousin are stuck on one part with only one bullet, and some bottles (which you can use to get a guards attention)
My cousin and I each found that we were skilled at seperate little bits of the game. We took turns with the first part, but he was great at sneaking up on this one guy and knocking him out, and then we'd take turns with the next part, altho eventually he decided I was the only one good at that laste part when we had to make use of our one bullet. It took us two hours, but we finally reached the next save point. Since then he tells me he hasn't gotten any further.
THE BAD: Sadly this game is hardly as much fun by yourself, in less goofy suroundings, which is why I'm only...
General/Summary: Yup, I have to agree.. so far, this is THE most fun I've had with my Xbox. If you're suffering from 'isn't-Halo-just-another-FPS' syndrome and long for something a little more thoughtful to play, this could well be it.
The way I see it, the 'sneaking game' genre is still in its infancy. Games like Thief, Metal Gear Solid and Hitman started it all off fairly recently. Theres always been a market for this type of game (anyone remember the sneaking sections of Infiltrator 2 back in the 80s?) but its only recently that computer game graphics and, more importantly perhaps, artificial intelligence has been up to the job of giving such games sufficient depth.
The point clearly illustrated by Splinter Cell is that a good sneaker requires a working relationship between graphics, sound and gameplay. Graphics don't just have to look good, you have to be able to interact with your surroundings, use the lighting to conceal yourself, hide behind objects and...
THE BAD: -not much, some repetitiveness -some annoying hard parts
SUMMARY: In SC, you are Sam Fisher, a SC sent in to various places to investigate with the 5th freedom in order to eliminate the terrorist, Nikladze. The game takes you through a lot of different environments. It is pure stealth. You can use background materials like cans for destraction. It is very realistic by every means. You can only carry 2 guns. There are a lot of cool high-tech gagets and items that are used. It even shows where all your items go on your 3 different suits you wear. You have thermal and night vision goggles that are used constantly in the game. Everything is very detailed too. The AI is good in enemies. Another good feature is that the game seems realsitic enough to happen. This is...
