NBA Inside Drive 2002

THE GOOD:
Exceptionally good graphics, with reflective floors, high-poly player models, and nice lighting. Commentary is terrific, with outstanding play by play and great color. The control scheme is very well done once the layout of the X-Box pad is understood. In-game stats are awesome, letting the player know about win streaks, fouls, shots in a row, etc. Very, very, very fast. Insanely fast, even.

THE BAD:
Very, very, fast. This may turn off some sim enthusiasts. Lack of play modes. Some of the shot animations seem and look a bit off. Using the X-Box pad means you'll sometimes press the wrong buttons, especially when fast-breaking.

SUMMARY:
NBA Inside Drive 2002 really, truly took me by surprise. After reading a couple of reviews, I wasn't expecting much, maybe a graphical thrill here and there, coupled with fun, arcadey gameplay. The reviews that I read only gave the game a slight chance at being what NBA 2K2 is. But I don't understand,...

Game lacks some features, but I never finish an 82 game season anyway. The game is overall very fun though. If you're looking for a good basketball game on the XBox. I would go with this or Live. 2K2 and NBA 2 Night just suck.
