Zombie Shooting Is Fun! | 4.9 0 comments |

THE GOOD: -Good graphics -Cool characters and weapons -Zombies! -Good plot, kinda -Blood, gore, and violence! Woo hoo!THE BAD: -Too short >.< SUMMARY: This is the first M rated game I've ever played, and I love it so! Oh, the blood and gore! What would I do without it? The graphics in this game are really good, and the sound effects are cool. I've heard a lot of people say the music in this game starts at very random times. That is pretty much true, but there's nothing wrong with that. The music is cool. There are four different characters (who I don't feel like explaining about) that you can play as and each one has two different weapons and different "edges", which are basically like the magic spells in other games. Also, you can use other weapons like machine guns, shotguns, flamethrowers, and chainsaws. There can be up to four people playing this game at a time, which is fun, unless someone keeps hogging all the weapons or wandering off in a different direction (Since, you can't move very far from the other people). There are a lot of creepy enemies and places in this game. (And if you don't like all the blood, you can turn it off in the options thingy.) The plot is pretty good, but I don't feel like explaining it either. Anyway, this game is pretty short, but it does get challenging at times, which is good. The bosses are kind of anoying sometimes. (Dang teddy bear!) Anyway, if you like creepy games, you'll like this. I sure did. |

THE GOOD: + guns + lots of action + big guys with axes! + zombies! + Teddy bears!!!!THE BAD: - gets repeative - bad replay - CARPENDER - too short - cheap last lvl boss - can be frusterating - on muiltiplayer an idiot can take all the ammo and die with it - lack of save points - Skitters!!!!!!!!!! - te teddy bear is'nt so cute and cudly up close =+( SUMMARY: Hunter:The Reckoning is a decent game. This game is a good buy and a good trade, not only that but this game should last a while for any one who does'nt play games alot. The playablity of this game is great with tons of zombies to kill and a few bosses but the bosses are not to be taken lightly this game has good grapics, plot, guns, theme, idea, and concept. The main reason why it didnt get a perfect 5 is beacuase the muiltiplayer.the muiltiplayer is disapointing becuase if u have an idiot brother or friend to play it with they will take all the weapons and die thus making the weapons useless all you get is a few more rounds but overall this game came out to be one of the best of its kind.

I love this game. The game play graphics are incredble, and the diverse character selection is nice. One can find a character that really suits him or her. The game also has a very good multiplayer. It is a lot of fun to get four people playing this game together. It is also a good challenge for any lovers of action games, especially after unlocking nightmare mode.
The only things that I don't like are fairly trivial as far as play is concerned. I don't like the way it saves. It should go off of a profile system rather than a stage system (you can only save after beating a level and must save each level, making it confusing at times when 2 or more games are being saved). The story line could have been made a bigger part of the game play. It would have been nice to do a little detective work to break up the monatony of killing zombies. |

| Well, to start off, I don't usually play games like this. But this is one very good exception. Hordes of zombiesand other supernatural beasts, 4 players, and an interesting storyline all combine to make this one helluva game. Well, you got four characters to choose from: A priest (effective against Vampires), a Big guy with a really big axe, A Cop with a katana and only one leg in her jeans, and a Jap with spikey hair and two guns. First off you can play with four of your friends. It can get a little confusing, mostly because it's not split-screen, but it's still fun. The best part is you can blow the zombies arms off then they will bite and kick you. YOu can also blow their whole torso off then they will kick you. There are explosives that Zombies seem to crowd around, and there are the innocents. Save 50+ during the course of the game (they give you extra lives, or else noone would bother with them) and you get to see the good ending. Save less (which I have actually done) and you get to see the "bad ending. You still win, but you must live with the fact that everybody in Ashcroft, save you and whoever else was playing alingside you, are now dead. This game is definately a must-have. It has its share of 3-rd person camera problems, but none so serious that you can't get out of it with the use of one of your 3 edges-powerful attacks that either heal, protect, or destroy. You start out with one and the more enemies you kill, the more xp you get, the more damage you can take, dish out, the faster you get, the more edges you can use before they need to be re-charged. I have clocked more than 2k kills per game. |

THE GOOD: *4 characters on 1 screen *so may ways to kill your enemys *so many weaponsTHE BAD: *to many enemies *bosses, start, hit, dead SUMMARY: the best bit is that you can have 4 people on screen at the same time, playing together.also there are loads of weapons at your disposal so you never get bored of killing. the only problems are that there can be up to 40 enemies on screen at one time and if you get stuck your pretty much dead, plus the fact that there is no way that that many people could have died in in a prison after a few decades. also the bosses are extreemy hard. their health is so high that if you launch a rocket they hardly feel it. |

THE GOOD: Easy to understand gameplay, highly intelligent ai, great weapons to use, great graphics, great funTHE BAD: it's a bit tough to get through, but well worth your time... so not really bad? SUMMARY: see good. this game is great. it varies a bit from the paper and pencil version, but it's a great game. If you've played the tabletop version, you should definitely check this one out. If you haven't played the tabletop RPG, then you should check this out, and then get into role-playing. definite must buy... happy hunting... |

THE GOOD: great use of multiplay, graphics are top notch (show x-box power), framerate maintains despite several characters on screen at once, deep gameplay mechanics, great level design, great story/characters/plotTHE BAD: unless you have a group of friends the replay value is so-so, the ending is somewhat weak SUMMARY: this over all is an extremely addictive, deep hack and slash (dont let the hack and slash deter you). the characters are very varied and their power ups are original and effective. with those features in place HtR has a level of strategy most "hack and slashes" cant even phathom. the single player is defiantely worth a run through though only die hard fans will want to play through again with other characters, on their own and unlock/find all the secrets. defiantely a must have if you have guests over and want tyo kill some time - what gauntlet should be x's 10! |

THE GOOD: GraphicsTHE BAD: Repetitive, no enemy AI, nothing new, poor camera and co-op mode. SUMMARY: Shame the game could not live up to the graphics, I found the game boring and no challenge, just kill on the way from A to B. Except for graphics this game could be on any format, I expect better on xbox. This is a tired an old format, there was no effort to improve and better previous similar titles. The camera was very frustrating and the co-op play was pathetic, you can not move more than about 10yrds from your ally, maybe split screen would have been better. Another title that seemed rushed to get out. If anybody thinks this is a good game then they are easily satisfied. I have seen scores of 10/10, that means some people think this game is better than Halo, sad. |
