THE GOOD: Overall the game has alot of good qualities, the music, voice acting and platform action is spot on. Boss fights are fairly well done, other than being too easy. THE BAD: First, the game has almost nothing to do with the book or movie, as you rarely do anything from those sources. The game should have been alot longer, and boss fights should have had more stages to them. A different spell system should have been implemented, as changing from spell to spell unless you have it figured to a button would have been nice. The fact that ron doesn't follow you into the fobidden forrest with the spiders (you could have saved him from them giving you more play) They could have made it so you could go to gringots and get your money to buy things in the game. There is so much they could have added. SUMMARY: The game is still kinda fun, but that fact you can beat it in under 7 hours is kinds lame. They could have done soooo much, like playing wizards chess with ron, or quiditch practise, or dueling whenever you wanted. I would have loved to splurge in diagon alley and get tons of items to use or give as presents. Also.. since when is only like a week to the school year? There should have been more classes. imagine a level in the herbology game where mangagorm's (i don't know how to spell them) try to get from the ground and you have to hit them before they get out, or a spell go aray and harry has to save the class from the giant plant monster.. or something.. anything to add more game to this game. More challenges would have been nice, gnome tossing, dunking and racing arn't enough. And where was dobby?? a very important character in the game, gone, It would have been need to have a combine item menu, would you could combine the sock and book and then if you did that, a secret item would be revealed after you give the book to lucious and he gives it to dobby, setting up a multiple ending, something like that.
My closing comment is they could have implemented a better magic system, and item system, and as well more to do in the game such a moment in the book. If you like platform games that involve jumping from platform to platform(with annoying camera jerks) and blasting at enemies(that do almost nothing to you) you may enjoy this short, and very very simple game that has only one real challenge, jumping with a poorly made camera system. |
