Extremely high difficulty level. Not a ton of variety in gameplay.
Released back in 2002 and still a mainstay in bargain bins, Gun Yalkyrie is a slick-looking shooter that Sega put out early on in the Xbox cycle. The storyline revolves around two soldiers, Kelly & Saburouta, sent to find valuable artifacts on various bug-infdested worlds and uncover some long-lost secrets of a missing scientist.
The graphics are very good in this game-the game was developed using Japanese anime-style techniques, resulting in very sharp-looking environments, effects, and character models. The animation generally is very smooth and the 3D environments look realistic although up-close, some larger characters do have some rough edges and other graphic issues. Sometimes the camera gets a little jiggy, and the enemies are either far too easy or far too hard.
The characters, all two of them, are pretty the same, I think. The game is good enough to buy, but won't keep you satisfied for long once you've beat it or come to a place thats too hard to get past. Not much to this game, and the storyline is boring.

I went out one weekend, looking to buy Morrowind. Unfortunately, the game hadn't been released in the UK then, so I bought Gun Valkyrie instead (I'd heard good things about it ).
I like the game, I've played better, but at the same time, I've played many worse games too
I like the boosts, and the boost combos. Some of the levels can be a little hard to navigate (the swamps) but otherwise it's a really good game. The only problem is the very limited choice of weapons. The female character has three weapons (one of which is a grappling hook) and the male character has two (again including the grappling hook). It's a shame there aren't more weapons...
