THE GOOD:
~The warfare gameplay
~The weapons

THE BAD:
~The graphics
~Not much levels

SUMMARY:
Ok this game is a warfare kind of game, where Ubisoft takes you through places where it has really been on the rough side of life. You will go through levels of jungles right to small villages where you have to avoid enemy shots, coming from near by windows.

The graphics of the game are not to good, as most things look pretty square and there is this dull feel to the levels which isn't really great for the atmosphere. Though the sounds are pretty good with some nice affects.

The weapnonry is interesting and really cool. There are lots of weapons for you to choose from, and some are quite powerfull and some are quite weak. It is up to you but the reloading of the weapons are a bit dodgy, as you never see your weapon, you never se it when it reloads. For most people who like to play FPS's well you will find it a bit weird at first, as usually you will see the gun.

There aren't to many levels for you to choose from, but the levels that are there, you shouldn't be to diapointed with. The multiplayer is pretty good, and you can select from many different modes and settings for Multi player. It's pretty good, and it will lsat you for a while.

Overall this is an enjoyable game that I recommend to most FPS players, though if you are not into these kind of games then I suggest you rent before you buy.

THE GOOD:
It shows the reality of war.

THE BAD:
Graphics are.....decent.

SUMMARY:
I rented this game when I was 12, and I hated it. As the years passed by I started to walk away from fantasy and more to war and tatics. Well I'am 15, and I bought the game and my eyes are dried up. Ghost Recon is not only a shooting, blood squirting game, but also a tatical simulation that makes you use all your wits and senses to win. Why is it so tatical you ask? Well, you command a squad, and no you can barge in and kill everyone while getting shot. You can get your team to recon the enemy poistion and tell where they are so you can go around them, or you can get them give you cover fire. It requires a lot of team work with your team to win this. Plus the A.I. is really neat and good.

Another thing about Ghost Recon that makes it so great is 2 things. One is the reality. It really shows the heart of war. Not this run through and be a hero bull shit. This shows what war is like in the modern day and age. The second thing is XBox Live. Playing with or against your friends will be a favorite for all people. If you don't have XBox Live! then consider very much about buying this game. Some people think the Campaign is boring. But remember that this game grings the true fun of XBox Live!

If you like busting skulls and being barbaric then leave right now and never think about this game again. If you want true war then go to the store and buy this game.

Xbox  Best war game since Rainbow Six 5.0

I'm a real big fan of Tom Clancy since I have over 10 copies of all his books, so I decided that anything he makes is awesome. I quickly rushed to the store when I found out Rainbow Six had come out. I bought it was was impressed. Then when I heard about Ghost Recon for the Xbox, I quickly rushed to the store again. I wasn't disappointed. For fifty dollars, this is well worth it.

Theres quite a few weapons to start with and you unlock more as you finish certain tasks.

There are quick missions, Firefight, Recon, and mission and defend.

Firefight is when you have to kill every enemy on the map.

On Recon, you have to get to the extraction zone somewhere on the map without losing one team member.

Mission mode are just regular missions from campaign.

The multiplayer on this is so-so, but enough to keep you entertained with cooperative and deathmatch modes.

Tons of missions to keep you on the edge of your seat from capturing a guy to checking out a crash site.

THE GOOD:
The good is the smooth game play. The direct challenge of the computer enemy. The graphics that are used in all aspects of the game.

THE BAD:
Limited mulit-player capabilities. Only one player supported on system links.

SUMMARY:
The game is one of the best action shooter games I have ever played. The missions are very well though out and planned leaving an endless replay value. Enemy action is reaction based upon your action (imo) makeing the wide retrospect of this game awsome. The selection of soldiers and weapons that is used by them is very impressive. Multiple types and levels of playing to satisfy every players needs and wants. Hands up on of the best if not the best Shooter game of the year. A must have for serious action junkies like myself!!!

THE BAD:
I didnt find anything bad yet.... Well I guess the atuto aim could be alittle better but other than that I have no complaints...

THE GOOD:
The graphics are good. The sound is the best I've ever heard. Its missions are accurate. I think the game as a whole captures accuratly the real Corps.

THE BAD:
The only bad thing is that I can't find out how to get my Blue team to follow me, and that enemies look so much like the landscape, that I ignore them until I'm dead...

SUMMARY:
This game accuratly captures the real Corps and Marines should be proud to have such a great game have them in it. Also it uses Dolby Digital 5.1 audio to the max.

Xbox  Ghost Recon 4.0

THE GOOD:
Fairly challenging, Variety of different gameplay modes for each mission

THE BAD:
Not the best AI, graphics could be better, severe lag in certain menus.

SUMMARY:

Overall Ghost Recon was a good game for Xbox. The game is realistic in the sense that you can't go rambo and try and shoot up a whole squad alone. This game does involve a degree of tactical depoyment of troops. The gameplay is fun, there are a variety of different modes and obvectives for the levels, and the game has replay value. The co-op option is fun, adding the challenge of trying to beat the game with a friend. The game also has LIVE capability if you like to shoot it out with others.

The only downside to this game is that i found little variety throughout the missions. The menus lag, and i found there is also a lot of lag in 2 player mode, especially when machine guns, such as the SAW are used.

If you like realistic shooters, like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series, you would like this game. I would definetly buy it.

Xbox  Great game...compares to SOCOM... 4.0

THE GOOD:
Great gameplay, cool storyline missions, great graphics, Live capability...

THE BAD:
Problems with aiming system...

SUMMARY:
I have really enjoyed this game since purchasing it when it was released. It has a lot to do in it and it has a Live capability which makes it even better. I would compare this game with SOCOM although its not as good as SOCOM but its still worth buying especially if you have Xbox Live!.

There is loads to do in the online mode and you won't be disapointed. You can play in groups and play other groups of people and I'm sure you won't be disapointed.

If you're looking for a game such as SOCOM but don't have a PS2, then this is the game for you.

Overall Outcome: Buy It!

THE GOOD:
Xbox live compatible, great atmosphere, fantastic AI, unbeatable in system-link mode.

THE BAD:
It was made for the PC, and it shows - the control style isn't suitable for console controllers. So-so graphics, little variety in most missions.

SUMMARY:
It was inevitable - one of the most popular and successful games on the PC was deemed for the consoles from the start. And finally it has done so, and burst onto all consoles, with online capabilities for the Xbox.

The game is the continuation of the hyper-realistic Tom Clancy games, roughly based upon the books. These games, as opposed to maximising a game atmosphere, try to create as much a realistic one as possible - one or two shots will take you down, making you feel horribly vulnerable. Due to this, careful tactics and planning are required.

You are dropped in the game as a leader of a squad of American special forces teams, sent in to counter the staple of all gaming baddies - Russians. Its a mission-based tactically-heavily first-person shooter. Pre-mission planning takes up quite a while - choosing and arming yourself and your squad, before setting out to kill the enemies before they kill you.

Complete authenticity is given - right down to night vision and recoil from guns. This gives a perfect atmophere.

The single-player missions are best played co-operativly with someone else - this leads to more stratergy and planning, which will be a good thing for you if you're considering this game. The multiplayer options also give a deathmatch option, which is slightly weaker, although good fun if its a system link, as opposed to split-screen.

If you like any thought to go with your shooter's, you'll want this game - its not perfect - sevearly limited in comparison to the PC hit Operation Flashpoint, but its definatly a worthwhile purchase.

THE GOOD:
sound effects, graphics and gameplay

THE BAD:
not much....if you haven't played the PC version first that is

SUMMARY:
i was excited when i picked up my copy of GR for the xbox. i've been a big fan of the PC version for quite a while now so i couldn't wait to play it for xbox. unfortunately, i think the PC spoiled this game for me, because when comparing the two versions, the xbox port is horribly inferior. i didn't think it was going to be and exact duplicate of the pc version, but i was hoping it'd at least be closer than it is. the only reason for having this game is if you need something to play on xbox live. the split-screen multiplayer is a waste of time and the menus lag worse than any i've seen in a long while. it's not as terrible a port as Unreal Championship is, but i was very disappointed. GR is not an absolute waste of time, but it should've been much better.
