THE GOOD:
Overall the gameplay seemed rather good. I like all the objective you had to do. The guns were amazing, they just seemed so realistic to me. The ways you could control your squad was so realistic and made the experience more worth it. Multiplayer rocked, I loved it. Playing with 16 other people is so much fun. My favorite map was "Battlefield"

THE BAD:
The game could have been longer. I didn't like how it was so short

SUMMARY:
Overall I liked this game a lot. The only reason I didn't say "loved" is because I think they could have improved it a lot more. Well the 3rd person was a start. The whole thing in the other games when you couldn't see your gun was horrible. The 3rd person is great. The guns seemed really realistic. But the intensity of the fights just didn't seem real. They could have had bombs going off in the backround and make the ground rumble. Maybe hear a few people screaming. But the battles just didn't seem intense. The A.I. I think weren't the greatest. They just appeared dumb to me. The multiplayer was intense. If I was you and had Live I'd skip Single-Player and go straight to Live. The Xbox Live expereience for this game was just awesome. Fighting with your friends against other people or A.I. is just so breathtaking.

Graphics: Stunning visuals. Absolutely gorgeous. Probably the most realistic FPS/SPS graphics I have ever seen. Character models are extremely detailed and the weapons are just as detailed.

Gameplay: The entire game plays out through a flashback retelling of the story on a show called "Modern Heroes". This gives it a different flavor than the other Ghost Recons, but if you were looking for another Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, you will be dissapointed. You no londer give orders to your teammates through the map, you use hand signals. Also very diferent from the original Ghost Recons is the Over-The-Shoulder view, which is almost like 3rd person, but your character is in the bottom-left of your screen, obscuring the legs. There are several new actions you can do in GS2 such as exchanging weapons, refilling ammo and clambering over objects. Since the game is set in 2011, there would be futuristic weapons available to you, right? Wrong. Although the M29 featured on the cover of the game and the M8 are not available yet, they are in production and expected to be released within 10 years. With these weapons you can stick the gun aroung a corner and shoot without exposing yourself. They also have an air-burst grenade which explodes after a designated distance to take out enemies behind cover. The last and my favorite accessory of these new weapons is the ability to call in an airstrike on a target.

Controls: These I suppose can be the most confusing part of the game, since all 6 buttons have 2 functions, one when it's tapped and another when its pressed and help. Either way I found the controls relatively easy to understand and use.

Multiplayer: This game features 4 player Split-Screen and Xbox Live play. Only I would forget the Xbox LIVE, it took me almost 30 minutes to get into a game that wasn't already started. So the Xbox Live could use some cleaning, and you coan't use the Over-The-Shoulder view in any sort of split-screen.

Sound: The same, great Dolby Surround Sound featured in the previous Ghost Recons. You can hear your enemies talking, although they talk in Korean and it does little to help you other than tell you where they are. Unless you can speak Korean.

THE GOOD:
- Great scenery
- Large levels
- Multiplayer rocks
- Great graphics
- Unlimited saves

THE BAD:
- Slow performance
- Bad AI
- No easy mode
- Easy cheats

SUMMARY:
When I bought this game, I was really excited, because I was a huge fan of Tom Clancy games and Ghost Recon was one of my favorites, and it still is. So I brought the game home, put it in the Xbox, turned it on. I was immediately impressed by the opening sequence, it looked good and was a nice preview of what was to come. I then created a profile and started basic training. So far I was thrilled with the game. Then the shit hit the fan - as the camera began to pan towards my character, I noticed the graphics slowing down. As disappointing as that was, I continued to play the game and found that I was able to put that aside and enjoy myself, until the first major firefight, complete with grenades, fully automatic weapons fire, mortars, etc. It really took a toll on the Xbox, and the graphics slowed down to an almost unplayable level - quite disappointing. I've always preferred console games to PC games because you don't have to upgrade the console to play the latest games. You buy the games for that console until the next console comes out. Anyway, on to the next disappointment - AI.

Imagine, if you will ...you're decked out in full camo, time of day is in the evening so it's getting dark, you're sneaking through the bushes, hiding behind large trees, can barely hear yourself when all the sudden bullets begin to whiz by. You look up through your viewfinder and find the enemy that is shooting at you is 200 meters away. Not only is he shooting at you, but he's hitting you, through trees, rocks, bushes and darkness, and using an AK-47 on top of that. Your enemy is using old-school gear, doesn't have night vision, etc. Something wrong with this picture? I think so. That scenario is often my downfall, I've had to turn the game off in frustration many times because of it. The team AI can be just as bad sometimes. One of the tactics I use on missions is to have the team stay put while I scout ahead for any threats - worked well in the first Ghost Recon because the team didn't start moving after you got more than 30 meters away, but in this version they just don't seem to know how to follow orders. Ask them to hold fire, do they? No. As soon as an enemy appears, blam blam blam.

Overall I do like this game, there are some really great points, such as the scenery, the size of the levels, the ability to refill your ammo, and things like that. There is quite a bit of challenge to the game, excluding the horrid AI and bad performance it can be a lot of fun to play. The best part of the game is the multiplayer by far. Its a blast! I get my assed kicked all the time, but its fun, and I know my human enemy can't see me from 200 meters away when I'm burrowed into heavy brush behind trees and rocks. Very cool.
