THE GOOD: -three neat swords -unique demons -great story -useful and interesting items -kaede -graphics -sound
THE BAD: sort of resident evil style controls -movement seems odd
SUMMARY: genma onimusha is the upgraded version of onimusha warlords from the PS2 made for xbox. this is one of few games where the good out weigh the bad in many ways. the demons are really unique, and scary, but not too scary(especially the first boss that looks like he has too much fat), they are strong and challenging. the items actually help and some are automatically used should the time arise. the graphics are beautiful, especiall the backgrounds(when you look close, you can see the brutality the guards went through) and the cutscenes are just like watching a movie. the music and sounds are eeriely excellent. they fit so well with the game. lots of secrets, like getting to the two special buildings and completeing them in order to unlock this sword that is the best in the game. it requires no magic for its spells...
THE GOOD: Lots of stuff, like graphics, gameplay, storyline, etc.
THE BAD: The Control, even if there was the 180 turn button. However, it wasn't awful, like some games I know.
SUMMARY: If they make a second game, than it's up for grabs! The horror, the excitement, and the killing is awesome. Also, the graphics are the best ever, with all the color and texture. The idea is based on a true event (except for the demons), and it was well done. The best point though, is the graphics. Like I said, the graphics are the best I have ever seen before my eyes! The movements look real, the colors look real, and it is real. Ok, I'm a little over the top, but hey, I gotta let everything out for once! Another reason it's great is because of the improvements from the PS2 version. Everybody says PS2 is best, but if Xbox and PS2 had the same games, Xbox would be KING!!!!
THE GOOD: Alot like resident evil but with more fighting in volved. Alot more challenging and alot of hidden realms are really cool. There is also a really cool RPG aspect of it that lets you level up your weapons.
THE BAD: Controls take some getting used to. Expect a little frustration the first day you play it.
SUMMARY: I think this game could be alot cooler if they were to implement more choices of fighting attacks and defenses. Similar to shenmue 2. THis would increase the replay value of the game alot. Controls need to be redone so that movement is of the character is the same as the movement on the screen. Character movement is done from first person perspective however the camera only shows third person. This doesn't coinside well and can make things difficult. In fight sequences perspective should always be from the side of your character so that you can always see him and no where he is going to move to.
THE GOOD: Excellent graphics. Clearer than the ps2 version. Lots of stuff to do in it.
THE BAD: puzzles are a bit too hard and it lacks combinations and special moves in fighting.
SUMMARY: I think this is one of the coolest games ever. I only wish there were a lot more swords and bigger ones too. I love samurais and japanese swords and i'm glad there is a good game that has them both.
