Breakdown

I thought this game was really good.

You see, I loved Deus Ex. Other than the graphics, (which aren't too bad,) it was one of the best games ever. Then comes Deus Ex: The Invisible War. THIS game is my favorite game of all time. Amazing everthing. But Ion Storm, (the making of both games,) was destroyed recently. So I was wondering how will I ever get another Deus Ex? Well, this came close.

The first person view is amaing. Everything from throwing up to drinking pop is incredible. There are no crappy lock picking motions here. Everything looks amazing.

The combat is great too. The fighting/shooting is really fluid and overall, some of the best fps on the market.

The coolest part of the game is when the screen blurs and zaps in and out, and the cat appears. You know something is gonna happen. Once, this happens then your arms turn into bone, and just bone. Even the shadow changes. Drinking pop while having bone-hands looks CRAZY! Another time this...

THE GOOD:
-powers are WAY COOL (especially those glowing vein effects on your arms!)

-storyline is nice and enjoyable

-amazing character designs/models

-fighting in FPV has never been so COOL

-you probably have all the quarters in the world if you can use every single working vending machine in the game (lolz)

THE BAD:
-enemies in the game are SUPER annoying because they are hard to kill most of the times

-gun fights just SUCK!

-not many guns are in the game

-the FP camera can give you a slight headache when you first play the game

SUMMARY:
This game is hard core fun for action fans that LUV FPS/FPF. Although there ARE hard moments in the game and rough edges in some places, fighting the T'lan is just fun (if there arent any interupptions). Breakdown is a game to remember!

THE GOOD:
-good AI
-awesome combos and powers
-interesting and twsting storyline that isn't easy to guess
-a partner that can beat the crap outta enemies in hand-to-hand
-good graphics
-excellent music that matches the mood

THE BAD:
-sensitivty is too high but is customizable
-a patner that can't fight her way outt a bag with a gun
-needs a bigger selection of guns even though it is a hand-to-hand game mostly

SUMMARY:
Overall I say it is excellent. Even though your partner sucks with a gun she can fight really well using her fists and knife. The AI is good. The storyline is one that keeps you guessing. Parts of the game are cliche but it makes up for it with other things. When you finally open up your full powers you feel like Neo cuz of the things you can do. I think it is a must buy.

`Dumb A/I *example: the girl that fights with you, sees you get shot and says let me help you. So she does a cartwheel then gets shot like 30 times then fires only ONE shot!?!?!???* huh?

SUMMARY:
Now I love it when games have alot of hype behind them, and when they meet up to the hype. Then there are exceptions, Breakdown possiblly one of the most overly hyped games to come out in march.

~Sound/ superb in everyway possible, it helps that it has dobly 5.1 digital so it gets a few points there.

~Control/ The dagger in the game itself. The sensitivity of the analog stick is set waaaaaay to high, so high that i had to put the sensitivity to 1 cuz the damn thing...

SUMMARY:
The character can interact with objects such as the vending machine for drinks like coca cola and eat left over buggers in the cantine. It gets better when you perform combos from a first person view and it feels like you are there and really fighting. There is a gallery where you can look at some pictures and a music player where you can listen to the games tunes.

I am sad to say that Breakdown is just not good enough when it comes to the use of camera, but after sometime the game's camera becomes really easy to use and enjoyable. I recommened that everyone who likes a good game should get it because Namco has created a great game for the Xbox and i am glad to say that this game will be the best you will ever play. (only on Xbox)
