THE GOOD:
Great graphics, good gameplay, lots of modes to choose from, beginner friendly, realistic, accurate batting lineups, accurate statistical information for every player...

THE BAD:
Batting takes some getting used to...

SUMMARY:
If you are looking for one baseball game to go into your collection then this should be the one. As a huge baseball fan myself, I found this game extremely addictive and didn't want to stop until I finished the entire 162 game season and then the playoffs. This game has got it all. Its got several modes to choose from(batting pracice, tutorials, homerun derby, season, and a few others). The only real problem I had with it was batting. It definitely takes some getting used to. You have to be very quick and accurate when batting because if you make even the smallest mistake, you miss the ball completely.

Overall Outcome: Buy It!

THE GOOD:
The Pitches
Batting Stances
Pitcher Releases
EXTREMLY REALISTIC!
Rewards
Easy Hit Option
Create a Player

THE BAD:
HARD TO HIT THE BALL!

SUMMARY:
This is easily one of the best sports games I have ever played, not to mention baseball! Its not a run up the score in 5 seconds game this games final scores are very realistic. In Create a player its not a game where you get all the points you want to make an amazing player, you are limited to what you can do. The reward system inside the game is great, you earn points by performing certain goals in games once you get enough points you buy a pack of cards which will unlock things ex. Throwback Jerseys, old stadiums, etc. Batting entrances and stances are incredibly accurate acording to the batter, and that is the same with the pitchers releases and the pitchers pitch types. Stadiums models are stunnig too, as well as the fans. Take Wrigley Feild for instance,
Ivy Walls... Check
Ability to hit the ball into the street... Check
HR hit by the visitors... YES THE BALL GETS THROWN BACK! So if your considering a baseball game consider this one.

General/Summary: I didn't like this game much. I own All Star Baseball '00, '01, '02 for N64 and I think they are excellent games, and figuring these would be similar to XBOX All Star Baseball - Boy was I wrong! XBOX All Star Baseball is a good flight of stairs lower than any other preceeding All Star Baseball game.
Gameplay: Wasn't too good. If you try to put the pitching aid on you don't see the aid till the ball crosses the plate. Once you figure out that you can't control where you want to hit the ball you decide the turn easy swing on, or whatever it's called. All that does for you is make the game more boring. You just wait till the ball gets to you then swing.
The only positive is homerun derby because you actually get to hit the ball, and making your own team because it has some good hometown teams, and the players rushing the mound but they left a key part out - you don't see the fight between the batter and the pitcher.

Graphics: Graphics are fine. Players are somewhat realistic but it seems the batting stances are always a little off, and the makers need to start making more of a variety of stances because I few players have the exact same stances. But the fields are realistic, but a negative part of the fields are you cannot hit a "Splash Hit" into McCovey Cove at Pacific Bell Park.

Sound: I like the commentators, but they get repetitive after a while, and the sound of the crowd and the ball hitting the bat is fine.

THE GOOD:
Everything

THE BAD:
Nothing

SUMMARY:
This game is perfect in every way, and since this game is for the Xbox, then there is no memory card to worry about, this game is a total must have, it is definetly worth the money. Please buy it, I bought this game, and I got sucked right into this game. I would recommend this game to anybody and everybody out there today. Don't rent this game, just buy it right away.

THE GOOD:
The stadiums look awesome, the players look good, and the gameplay is fun.

THE BAD:
The Pitcher/Batter interface could use some work

SUMMARY:
Some people say that World Series Baseball is better than All-Star Baseball, I don't know. The graphics almost equal but the main difference is the pitcher/batter interface. I find the World Series baseball interface hard too hit on but I find the ASB interface too easy to hit on. So they are just about equal. The player s are on both of them but the only thing that stands out id the crowd. As annoying and repitive as the crowd is on ASB, at least they look like people. WSB doesn't even look like humans. That probably doesn't mean anything to many people but it means something to me.

THE GOOD:
Very solid game that keeps your hardball craving satisfied.

THE BAD:
Little lag with the graphics.

SUMMARY:
This is a great baseball game with A LOT of options. Best that Acclaim has offered in their ASB Series. First time that a sports game has offered an EXPANSION Mode (that I know of) and it's a great substitute for the Dynasty mode. I didn't give this game a 5 out of 5 however because of the small lag with the graphics/animation and the fact that you don't have the option to use unlocked items in Exhibition or Season modes. But for now it is satisfying my craving for a Hardball game and since I hear Triple Play 2003 isn't that good then I won't bother with another B-Ball game until World Series Baseball comes out or Microsoft puts out their own (which I really hope they do taking in respects to their graphics on NFL Fever and NBA Inside Drive).
