THE GOOD:
The lighting realy is what makes this game scary. All of the demons are incredablly detailed. Accually every is good in this game. THE BAD: SUMMARY:
THE GOOD:
-The terrifyingly brilliant graphics. It really pushes the Xbox to the extreme. I'm telling you now, watching a giant half-robotic bull empty some random guys intestines onto the floor in crystal clear graphics is a hell of an experience. -The impressive array of weaponry is enough to make you drool, literally! I had to buy a new Xbox controller after my first play. -The sound. Oh boy, the sound alone is enough to make you hide under your bed covers, never mind everything else! -The enemies are a force to be reckoned with. Extreme detail has been put into designing these guys, and they pack one hell of a punch! THE BAD:
THE GOOD:
This Game shows the power and technology of the XBOX. The flickering lights the dim lights make this game scary. With over 40 differnt levels. This game makes it very challenging. And each level gets harder each level u get too. The music sets the tone. You are more cautious in this game than other first shooters. In halo2 i wasnt as cautious id just go to a level and shoot everything I see or charge into rooms. This game im always looking around. WHen they re designed the creatures they made them look way scarier than in DOOM 1 and 2. If you play this game at night. It gets even scarier which I liked. U Wont master this game over night Like most games u will. In the end it will take you awhile to master this game. THE BAD:
THE GOOD:
For those who don't like to think what effect one or the other action would evoke, but instead just like to run around and shoot every monster that materializes from the thin air, in front of them and behind, this is almost a perfect game. There's not much else to do. Just run, shoot, pick some health and ammo, save, repeat. Surround sound is very good, albeit there is no music, just groans and some other weird sounds. Maps are quite large. Dealings with bosses require at least some kind of thinking. This game keeps you on edge all through and it will make you jump out of your sit quite a few times especially if you crank up the sound and turn off the lights. THE BAD:
THE GOOD:
Graphcs and gameplay really make this game what it is. The presentation of this game is what kept me playing. The music scares you, the enemies are look way to real and the frame rate is solid. You also get coop over live and system link, along side death match. If your lucky enough to get the collectors edition, you get doom 1 and 2 with coop and deathmatch. Its just a solid shooter! THE GOOD:
It makes me pee. The graphics are definately pushing the Xbox to be all it can be. The sound makes Silent Hill look like a kiddie game. The extra included on the LE version are great. Concept Art,talking with developers,I also like the fact that you can save anywhere. I need to cuz I get scared. THE BAD: SUMMARY:
I have written several reviews on neoseeker, including a review last year of the PC version of this game. Now I don't write reviews for EVERY game I play, only the ones that have left an indelible impression on me. Sometimes it's good (see my review of The Chronicles of Riddick) sometimes it's bad (see my review of The Punisher). Sometimes, like with Half-Life 2, there just isn't anything more you can say about a game (incredible, mesmerizing, spectacular) that hasn't already been said. Thus begins my review of Doom 3 for the Xbox.
Defining moments for game systems. This is a subject that I have written about in a lot of my reviews. I truly believe that there are certain games that define a system and should NEVER be traded in. For instance, the Gamecube has Resident Evil 4, PS2 has God of War and Nintendo 64 had Goldeneye, just to name a few. Some systems have more than others; Xbox started off with Halo, then came Chronicles of Riddick, followed shortly there after... Lowest Prices |
