THE BAD:
Shrikes are annoying
repetative levels
no xbox live
no vehicles
SUMMARY:
I played this game at my friends house after I played Halo and they weren't similar at all except for the fact they were both sci-fi games and had aliens. The coolest feature in this game is the ability to instantly switch between 4 completely different characters. My favorite enemies in this game were the Feral outcasts and the human marines. The most annoying and stupid enemies were the Seers and the Shtikes. Multiplayer isa great feature in this game if you have a lan network set up. Even with two people squad deathmatch is fun. In conclusion I give this game a 4.2
THE BAD:
~In game graphics are not the best but ok
~No bots in multiplayer
~levels are repetitive
SUMMARY:
At first when I saw the demo for this, it was the video footage which is in the game's movies. It looked hot, but then when I played it through it wasn't so crash hot but it's ok.
At first you'll be put on a mission alone but as you go through the levels you will end up working with your team mates called Brute force. There are different commands that you can give to your team mates, which adds more to some kind of strategic plan eg. Hawk (a sexy chick who uses stealth/cloak and blade up close) you can use her to halt your team while you go out and kill these 2 enemies that are lying in a handy sniper point. Then at this stage you can run back and get Flint (a cyborg chick with a sniper eye and...
THE BAD:
A bit samey! The money aspect seems irrelevant. Too many medikits available!
SUMMARY:
Why do people keep comparing this game to Halo? I love Halo but this is a different type of game. Try comparing it to Ghost Recon (GR) and perhaps Timesplitters 2 (TS2).
Better than GR because (a) You can see what is happening most of the time.(b) Your team mates dont wander in front of you just as you are about to open fire (c) You can tell your team mates to stay where they are (my preferred option) until you need them (d) Your sniper remains hidden - in GR you can shoot someone in the back from 100 metres, and every enemy bot instantly knows where you are!!
Better than TS2 because (a) Your controls work! Trying to aim at someone off-centre in TS2 is a pig. (b) No enemies spawning behind you (c) No having to play...
THE BAD:
-lousy team A.I
-impossible controls.
SUMMARY:
as most people would say, brute force is a knock-off of halo. it is. it has horeds of aliens that got the munchies for you, and you get to work on a team. like halo, just not as many allies. the controls were the worst I have ever seen. some places I couldn't even continue. when I kill an enemy, 5 min. later it seems to respawn, so you have to kill them all over again. the character's "abilities" are a little weird, since it takes a long time to realize what it does. the team A.I is dumb enough to make you want to swear at them while shaking a fist at them. what I mean is, if you hold back, and let your allies do the fighting, they run right in the middle of it all, and stand there, shooting a few rounds at a time. no attempt to dodge like halo's marines, just stand there like doofus with a gun....
THE BAD:
I Wish The AI Were Better. It is too easy to kill them before they even get a scratch on you.
SUMMARY:
I will admit that this game is good, but it is nothing special. It is a lot like other shooters and does not have to may features that are unique to it. I also wish it had some vehicles in it. They add interesting and fun play to most games. Ever since Halo I have expected more out of games. This game isn't close to Halo, but it is good. Most people will enjoy the specials, Especially Tex with his double guns. I enjoy the Ion cannon beam thing it. The air strike isn't bad either. I would be happy to see a Brute Force 2 some time later, but by then I hope they would give that game some unique features or at least a map editor.
If you haven't Tried Brute Force then I recomend you do.
THE BAD:
Not Much
SUMMARY:
I don't really see what all the hype about this game was. Don't get me wrong its a good game, but saying that it was the next halo thats just wrong! But the graphics are great. The characters are amazing I mean absolutly amazing its not like the same thing for every person. Some people have more strength, some more speed, some more health, a great thing about the characters though is the fact that each one has a different special ability. Each character also has a little cut scene after you unlock them which are really cool. The reason I am giving such a low score though is because the game is very far under exspectations of just about everyone. Add that on to the fact that the gameplay could be much better then you'll see why. RENT B4 U BUY
THE BAD:
The AI is generally not too smart. The guy standing right next to him gets slced in half and he thinks nothing of it. The computer controlled team members aren't too helpful either.
SUMMARY:
In the end this is gives Halo a run for its money, but doesn't quite beat it. There is a huge variety of missions, enemies, weaknesess, bosses, and the almighty unlockable characters, and unlock teams of unlockable characters by getting the correct combinations.
THE BAD:
- Overuse of environments - Only 6 different environments spread across 18 levels. They get a bit stale after awhile, although initially they're cool.
- Lack of Xbox Live support - Doesn't really affect me, though I'm sure there are people with Xbox Live that would care.
THE BAD:
A few of the levels are linear, but when you are given 4 soldiers, there is a number of ways to go about things. If you don't have a system link or a high res tv, the multiplayer becomes a bit squished.
SUMMARY:
|The Squad|
Its like someone took Master Chief (Halo) and cut him into 4, badass, unique soldiers.
[Tex] - He's a two legged killing machine. When you have alot of enemies around the corner and you need some heavy power to take them out, he's your man. For his special ability he can hold a gun in each hand and blow the piss out of things.
[Brutus] - He's probably your best all around character. He can carry...
