THE GOOD:
Every mission until the Star Destroyer level
The storyline
Presentation of Darth Vader
The fact that you fight an old man, an outcast, a member of the Jedi Council, a kind of 'shadow', a guy in an AT-AT, a corrupted apprentice of a former victim, a friend and a mentor.

THE BAD:
The missions after (and including) the Star Destroyer level
The ending(s)
Some forms of lightsaber battle
The combos

SUMMARY:
You'd think any game with Darth Vader, Darth Maul and pulling a Star Destroyer out of the sky and into a city would be a good game. And undoubtedly, the game is pretty awesome until Level 8, or the level 'Impereal Raxus Prime'. But I'll get onto that later.

The journey of Starkiller makes for a very interesting storyline. The journey from young boy with a talent to Sith Apprentice and then to Jedi sounds like the opposite of Anakin's story, and in some ways it is. But his adventures from...

THE GOOD:
The storyline, destructible environments, force skills

THE BAD:
Repetitiveness, lightsaber battles, maps, consistency

SUMMARY:
I recently purchased this game after reading some fairly positive reviews. I can't say they were justified, but I can't deny that the game isn't too bad.

Starting off as Darth Vader slaughtering your own troops and wookies was immense fun. Getting used to the force powers available to you in this game, whilst also destroying your enemies with your lightsaber. The graphics are impressive, and the voice overs are pretty decent although at times annoying.

One thing that really bugged me when I first started playing the game was the amount of time it took for each menu to load up. Whether I wanted to change costume or lightsaber crystal, it would take an age to process. Along with that, although minor, not being able to deactivate your lightsaber was a small pain I had with the game. Your...

THE GOOD:
Force powers, customizable costumes/lightsabers, excellent story, innovative gameplay, Destructive environments.

THE BAD:
lackluster jedi battles, frustrating combat mechanics, enemy/location diversity, quick playthrough

SUMMARY:
So, Force unleashed came out yesterday, so I ran to my nearest video store, took the day off and spent approx. 5-6 hrs playing force blasting my way though it.

So what's the verdict?

Overall, Lucasarts has done a wonderful job utilizing next-gen technology to create a fun filled and enjoyable title. Taking control of a "secret apprentice" to Darth Vader, the player gets the opportunity to feel what it would be like to really be a jedi. The story (Which, I'll add, is the only one in a game to be officially acknowledged by Lucasfilms as Canon) takes you across multiple worlds and deep into the Empire and the birth of the rebellion. I won't say more, just to let you...
