"Don't play Rage, it's really not that good", "Rage is alright, but there's a lot better out there" and "I certainly didn't enjoy it" was all I heard when I told people of my interest in purchasing Rage. I had to keep asking myself; why? After checking up gameplay videos and the concept behind the game, I thought it sounded spectacular. With the developers of both Quake and Doom (two games which could be regarded as definite household names), how could this be a bad game? And to reinforce that, Bethesda were co-publishers. Now although they don't have a 100% success rate (I'm staring you right in the face, Brink), when you've got games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls under your belt, you're deservedly issued a lot of credit. Despite the names behind the game, why so many people felt that this game was unsuccessful became an unscratchable itch for me.
