Prototype is a game with fun-as-hell free-roaming, crazy superpowers, and a mediocre [if that] story. Now for the detailed review......
Graphics: Prototype's Graphics do seem kind of cartoony at times [mainly because of the character models and movements of the civilian characters], but they aren't too bad. The bosses [excluding Elizabeth Greene] are very well-designed, and the Infected look gorey and great. The environment feels hectic, which fits this difficult game quite nicely. The rootlike blood that grows all over the place in Infected areas is a very nice touch, and the sky fading to red as you enter an Infected zone is also very nice. For the most part, everything looks and feels like it fits Prototype [and its style] perfectly. I did have a few moments where the game lagged [mostly when there were alot of things going on onscreen], and Prototype has its fair share of popin, but nothing was really too pestering. Graphics get a 4.5.
THE GOOD: - Fun Powers - Free Roaming Is A Blast - Interesting Web of Intrigue Plot - Neat Environmental Effects - Tons Of Stuff To Do And Unlock
THE BAD: - Ocasionally Annoying Enemies - Annoying Auto Lock-On - Plot Insists On Spoiling Itself - Not Much Reason To Replay The Game
