BackgroundMonster Hunter Frontier is an MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) that was previously only available on the PC. Monster Hunter is a huge series, and it extremely popular in Japan.
Game PlayThe gameplay is identical to Frontier for the PC and the other Monster Hunter games. Players can accept a quest from the guild and include up to three party members. The players then head out into the quest area and meet the requirements before the timer runs out. Items can be gathered from slain monsters to build weapons and armor, and the process is repeated.
FeaturesFrontier contains every feature from the latest Monster Hunter games and more. Towns are larger; they can support more players. There is an active day / night and season system, and the setting differs depending on the time. New monsters, features, equipment and more are constantly being added through patches in the game. Frontier has an advanced Guild system, crafting system and quest system, as well. While Unite on PSP had 9 HR (Hunter Ranks) Frontier has up to 999, offering almost unlimited gameplay.
