- Enemy levels aren't flexible; if you haven't beaten the main campaign, you'll be either over-leveled or under-leveled.
Gearbox wasn't lying when they said this was the biggest DLC to date. Take the fun boss battles and quests in Zombie Island, mix it with the hard-to-beat challenge of Mad Moxxi, add a level cap with a slew of other cool things, and you get The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. The good thing about this DLC is that it's not nearly as easy as Zombie Island, and not nearly as hard as Mad Moxxi. It pretty much leaves off where the enemies were leveled when you discovered The Vault - if you're on your first playthrough, enemies start out at level 35. If you're on your second playthrough, enemies start out at level 50.
One of the biggest draws for this DLC is probably the level cap increase. If you buy the DLC, you're now able to level up all your characters to level 61. Another big draw, at least for me, is the fact that it offers some new vehicles. The vehicles in this game were pretty iffy, only reason to get in one was to get from point-A to point-B faster. However, they have been beefed up big time. The two new vehicles can now seat four players at a time, and whereas the machine gun is still kind of average, the missiles shoot three out at a time, target nearby enemies, and follow them until it hits them. This was a nice addition, it now makes the weapons on the vehicles useful. The driving is still pretty iffy, however, the smooth roads in the DLC should make it easier then in the main campaign.
