THE GOOD:
+ Great first party games
There are plenty of good games out there which are easy to find if you ask around on forums or read reviews but they are often shadowed by the shovelware. Keep reading for what I think are great games.
+ Innovative Controller
Motion control was a great move and definitely attracted more customers. Now it's being mimicked by Sony and Microsoft with the wand and Project Natal, respectively.
+ Backwards Compatibility
The Wii can play all GameCube games and long forgotten titles from old consoles such as the NES and Commodore 64 via the Virtual Console
+ WiiWare
Great idea supported by various small developers looking for a way to dispense titles without finding a publisher or worrying about all the unnecessary costs
+ Wii Channels
Provide additional content for no charge or quick access to purchased WiiWare...

  • Backwards Compatibility

    SUMMARY:

    Nintendo Wii

The Wii is a revolution of a console. When I first got my Wii, about a year after release, I was amazed at what it could all do. Backwards Compatibility is neat, you can play all of your Gamecube games it. You simply plug the controllers into the top, and the memory cards go right behind them. Plus, you can play a lot of your favorite older games, for consoles like the Nintendo 64, NES, etc. I played around with it when I first got it, I explored all the channels, connected to the...

    THE GOOD:

The Wii's sleek white exterior may look innocent, but this thing is amazing. And the most amazing thing about it, is the controllers.

The Wii's controllers are more like remotes; they are a lot different than most controllers. But it is not their new shape that is so revolutionary, it's what they can do. The Wii remote, or Wiimote as it is often called, can detect motion in all directions! You can swing it, twist it, tilt it, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It can do it all. It can be a sword, a steering wheel, even a bowling ball! It brings you deeper into the game than you had ever thought possible. The Wii remote also has a smaller...

    THE GOOD:
    - Backwards compatibility.
    - The innovative controls.
    - Classic games, old and new.
    - The virtual Console.
    - The Price.

    THE BAD:
    - Graphics.
    - Somewhat of a novelty.

    SUMMARY:
    The Good:

      Backwards Compatibility

The first notable achievement about the wii is how versatile it is when it comes to olfer games. It can play all the GameCube titles you knew and loved, no memory card needed. It's all contained on an inner Hard Drive.
      Innovative Controls

Ok so what we all know and have known since the announcement of the Wii is it's ground breaking control system. It consists of the usual A, X, B, Y, Start/select, 1 and 2 buttons on the left side of the controller. Then on the right, we have the analogue stick and the C button, also known as the Nunchuck. They're connected by a wire which disconnects from the original controller piece. Each one fits...

    THE GOOD:
    + New control setup
    + Backwards Compatability
    + Channels
    + Virtual Console
    + Cheap
    + Free online service
    + Towards the casual gamers
+ Free game with the packaging
    + Mii's

    THE BAD:
    - Graphics, they are decent but they cannot match up with the PS3's and Xbox 360's graphics.

-Batteries can Die (if you don't have rechargables)

    SUMMARY:
The Wii, is the next console for Nintendo in this generation. Formely known as the Nintendo Revolution, brings us more features towards the depth of future gaming handling.

First off, the controls setup. The controls are very simple and bring something new to the gaming world. This time, you will feel more into the games you play with the Wii-mote instead of the old button mashing style. Yet, the controls are easy to handle and are comfortable in your hands.

Now for the Channels, this is something new. Instead of seeing a loading...

    THE GOOD:
+ Excellent line of released and upcoming games
    + Wii Channels
    + Virtual Console/Backwards Compatability
+ All the types of Controllers

    THE BAD:
    - Graphics are Good, but not up to most people's standards after seeing Xbox360 and PS3 graphics

    SUMMARY:
The Wii, or the developing name, the Revolution. Well, I think it is pretty safe to say that the Wii is a revolution in itself revolutionizing plenty of things that gamers look for.

The games that were released with the Wii looked extremely good. After seeing the upcoming, future releases though, it makes you can't wait to get your hands on a Wii for yourself. Some of the games that came out with it were amazing titles such as Wii Sports and Wii Play, which were followed by sequels to popular Gamecube games such as Super Paper Mario and Mario Strikers Charged. Plus, there are a whole bunch of other popular game's that will be coming out soon such as Super Smash...
