Graphics are horrible for a N64 Game
Not very exciting
Worst racing game for the "old" generation consoles
The gameplay included in this game is very thrilling. It makes time fly while you race through many different cities in America. One of the most realistic obstacles in this game is the traffic. While racing with seven other racers, you get the priviledge of dodging through the traffic on the American Highways. Another great thing about this game is the two-player mode. When playing the two-player mode with a friend or family member, you can play seemingly countless hours on this game.
For a N64 game, the graphics are horrible. There are racing games for the NES and SNES that have better graphics than this game. The graphics do make it harder to control your vehicle because sometimes you don't know if you are on the rode, off the rode, or where a shortcut is. The only plus side to these bad graphics is that it makes shortcuts a lot harder to find. The graphics definatly help more points get taken off for the overal score.
This game really won't last more than a month if you play it every day. After unlocking everything, which by the way is extremely easy, you will start to feel bored with this game and even the two-player mode will start to bore you. In order to increase the time that you will enjoy the game preferably play it about once every other day, otherwise, you won't find this game very good after a while.
Overall, this game while having its good points, unfortunatly has more bad. If the graphics were better, and the lasting value were to be a bit longer, then it definatly would be a way better game. The gameplay only makes up for a small portion of the losses the previous two points cause. After all is said and done though, I have to give Cruis'n USA a 2.8/5 for its awesome gameplay.
