Background:
A remake of the original R-Type, with some R-Type II elements thrown in. The evil Bydo Empire has once again returned to power. Only the R9 series of ships stands in their way before they destroy Earth.

Gameplay:
You can pick up various power ups on the way. These take the form of a front shield, which can be launched into swarms of enemies for maximum destruction.

More than 4 different weapon systems.

Various powers up's include missiles, shields and speed boosters.
