Contra III: The Alien WarsTHE GOOD: I loved this game. This is what you call an old school game at it's best. Good things in this game were the:
Graphics Gameplay Weapons Enemies Levels Difficulty Music
I haven't found an exciting game like this for Nintendo that hasn't have to do with Mario. It's one of the best shooting games the SNES has to offer. You can play 1-2 players and you have a machine gun with unlimited ammo to blast away at enemies trying to attack you, mostly aliens.
There are also several upgrades you can pick up for your gun. Every level has 1 or 2 bosses, but the battle between them doesn't last long, so you could take care of them easily or lose to them easily. The levels go from running side to side, to a top-view sort of level where enemies come at you from all angles. The game isn't very long, but it's worth playing. The difficulty is hard for many including younger kids, but it doesn't get to the point where you stop playing. Overall, this game was a blast and it is a must to get if your a fan of shooting/action games.
THE BAD: A bit too hard. I mean, this game was very hard when I first played it as a child, so for kids, this game could be very difficult. Other than that, there wasn't much wrong with it.
Plunge through a molten hot massacre on a high speed voyage to the guts of the archenemy alien. Scope out the side and top perspectives and backgrounds that engulf you within all the action. Pick off alien creatures like Mutant Megasquitos and the Psycho Cyclers while you scale over walls, swing from girders and ropes, and hitch rides on a missile. Sweat through six gut-splitting stages, including the Battle of the Blazing Sky and the Mucho Grande Badlands.
