Shining Force CD

Background

A 1995 RPG remake for the Mega/Sega CD of the previous Shining Force Gaiden games. In addition to the first 2 games featured in this one, there is 1 additional story book you unlock once you beat the first 2.

Gameplay

The game uses speed based mechanics to determine which character moves first. Unlike the original Shining Force game, you can't move around towns and collect treasure or interact with different characters. The game play jumps from battle to battle each chapter with character recruitment and leveling.

Features

The game is a great sequel to the Shining Force strategy game storyline. The characters from this game are featured as children of the original heroes of the Shining Force which split up after defeating the Dark Dragon. However, evil didn't sleep then and 20 years after, a dark ruler called Woldol arises.
