Really Good Good Game! | 4.7 0 comments |
by Winged Dragon of Ra from Flume, , Second Earth | Apr 10, 2004 |
THE GOOD: The missions, the girls (yeah, baby), the guns, the types of other gadgets, the people you get to shoot, the objectives are clear, everything. I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!THE BAD: Only the graphics are a bit off, but still, it doesn't really matter if you have a machine gun with you. SUMMARY: Pay attention, 007. you tonight have to penetrate the warehouse in which this man, (as shown) is doing illegal drug use. you have to get the money and then escape as fast as possible. do try and bring all of the gadgets home safely, and stay in one piece. you are the best agent that we have.
what, 007, please, this is serious, and stop flirting with that girl. and
Good luck, 007, and by the way, do be careful.
and on the way, buy this game for you, would you? |

THE GOOD: What can I say? Superb graphics, really beefy weapons, kool levels and a real taste for RPG, action, adventure and blood.THE BAD: It really is quite hard but I'm sure I can beat Level 5 soon enough... SUMMARY: The World is not Enough is a must for all gamers how prefer their FPS's shaken, not stirred. As part of EA's compilation pack, you only need to dish out £20 for this and another kool 007 game, Tomorrow Never Dies. Take a gun and blast the brains out of guards, save the world from World War III and even gamble for money on a card game level! So, bought it yet? No? Are you stupid? Get out there and go buy. |

THE GOOD: Brilliant gameplay, nice level design, superb graphics, intricate storyline and amazing weapon selection.THE BAD: Number of levels. SUMMARY: Well, it's James Bond, so do I need to say any more? This game is a must-have, and is a brilliant addition to the Bond Game collection. The levels are fast-paced and superbly set out, the enemy AI is good, weapon selection leaves you stunned (anything from a P2K to a Grenade Launcher is yours), all the gadgets are there (from Cell Phone Stunner to Grappling Hook Watch)and the storyline comes from the best James Bond film around (well, next to "Die Another Day"). Put all this with the best graphics that the PlayStation can produce and we have a winner.
There is a catch: as with most of EA's Bond games, the whole thing can be completed in about six hours solid playing. There are only eleven levels, and the fact that the graphics engine is so advanced that there could be no multiplayer split-screen does not help to make the game last. However, levels like the Casino where each time is different makes the game varied, and you will find yourself coming back to "The World Is Not Enough" more than once for a quick blast around a nuclear submarine.
The world may not be enough, Mr. Bond, but this game certainly is. |

THE GOOD: All of it apart from the length.THE BAD: The length. SUMMARY: A very nice game indeed, with cool gadgets, explosive guns and fast-paced action. The only little niggle is that there are only eleven levels, and each are quite short. Still, a very fun and thrilling game which will keep you in suspense all the way to the end (unless you have seen the film, in which case you know Elektra is in league with Renard from the beginning). Damn, I shouldn't have said that... |

Personally I do not see what is so great about The World is Not Enough. I also do not know why the whole James Bond series has gotten as large as it has. Granted this is a good game, but it is definatly not one of the best games out for Playstation like many people have come to think.
The graphics are just mediocre when it comes to overall look and presentation. But the sound is what really hurts the game to the point of extremity. There is no real sound base system and the music is a far cry from good. I must commend the controls for the World is Not Enough because they did do a great job perfecting those, but that is just about it.
There are many people that have and continue to get much enjoyment out of this game, but I am not one of them. So if you are unsure about it, I would recomend renting the game and seeing it for yourself. |
