THE GOOD: Exciting mission objectives. Enough weapons for a small terrorist campaign. All the characters from the wonderful film. Diverse gameplay (shooting, skiing and driving). It's Bond. It's James Bond.
THE BAD: Short missions. Suspect graphics. Lack of hand-to-hand combat. Strange weapon names (Wolfram PP7 anyone?).
SUMMARY: To call Electronic Arts' first outing into the universe of James Bond a disaster would be to view "Tomorrow Never Dies" in a negative light from the start. Many people who criticise this game have come fresh off the backs of "GoldenEye 007" and therefore are of the mentality that nothing will be able to beat the Nintendo64's high-quality title. Well, I feel that no-one cares about "Tomorrow Never Dies" anymore, and I for one am unhappy to see that.
This game is great. All the guns, gadgets and girls a Bond fan could ever want, plus missions and a storyline plucked from the exciting feature film. Despite many saying that Pierce Brosnan has now outdone his performance in ...
THE GOOD: my whole family loves this movie, so naturally they all enjoyed watching me play this game, which in turn, made the game more enjoyable to play. The boss fights are awesome, I love all the weapons, and I enjoy all the missions, cuz they're all different and unique
THE BAD: it's too short, and each mission in itself is also too short.
SUMMARY: the graphics are very very dated, the gameplay is oldschool, and basic, but just good old-fashioned fun. the weapons are fun to try out, and each level can involve different strategies, tactics, and weapons. This game is best played with friends or family, since alone, it gets boring and sometimes, a little scary. Also, there are lots of cheats and codes that make it funnier to play after you've beaten it. If you like the movie, or shooters, or other 007 games, get this one, you won't regret it.
THE GOOD: - The game difficulty is pretty good. - There are lots of cool weapons and gadgets. - You get to drive a can and ski down a mountain. - Little cut scenes from the actuall movie.
THE BAD: - The game is pretty short. - The game can get confusing.
SUMMARY: This game is a ok game and it's a fun game for a while. The levels are too short so the game goes by pretty fast and there are few things misisons on levels. There are lots of cool weapons to choose from and in some missions you get some awsome gadgets to use. The game level is pretty good but the game can get confusig some times and it might take a while to figure out what you are supposed to do. The cool part is that there is this mission where you get to drive a nice BMW with rockets and machine guns on it. Also there is this mission where you get to ski down a mountain which is pretty fun. The game controls are good. The graphics are ok but I think that they could have made them better. The game is fun and intresting but its sho...
THE GOOD: I guess you could say the weapons are good. The driving a car mission, and skying are good too.
THE BAD: Graphics. Hard to control the player.
SUMMARY: The game is sort of fun, getting to shoot who ever is around and all but its really difficult when the graophics are so horrible. You look at the screen and it looks like your guy is falling apart. When you are in a firsfight with a few people you dont fare very well when you can barely see if you have a gun equiped. Obvioulsy its not that bad but you get the idea.
The gameplay is sort of fun, the gun locks on to enemies which actually makes it more difficult. Moving Bond around is sort of hard too, it seems like sometimes he moves with this ammount of pressure on the controller and then other times a diff ammount is needed.
The mission where you drive a car is very fun and the bad graohics dontn really matter there. You are in the car and need to catch up to someone. You obviously have obstacles but you have rockets and machine gun...
THE GOOD: -The controls -FMV sequences from the movie -Weapons -Difficulty -Different game modes such as driving and skiing
THE BAD: -The graphics lacked -Bad glitches -The music -A.I. is stupid -Too short -Some levels were not in the movie
SUMMARY: I have played Goldeneye on Nintendo, The World is Not Enough for PS1, and Agent Under Fire and Nightfire on PS2. After playing those games, I was rather dissapointed in this game.
Some cool parts about the game were easy controls and FMV sequences from the actual movie. The weapons were pretty cool and the game is challenging. There was also the skiing and the driving missions, which were OK.
But those details couln't save it. The graphics definitely lacked and were, what's the right word, too simple. There were also really bad glitches (guys landing in midair, trees floating, etc.). The music was dull, the A.I. was stupid, and it was way too short. And, one or two of the missions in the game were not in the movie.
THE GOOD: This game has absulutely nothing good within it.
THE BAD: This game is really boring. You get bored of it fast and don't wanna play it like for years anymore.I mean it's short the guns suck and so do the levels that you play on.Theres no blood coming out of the bad guys or anything. If I were you I would not by this game for anything.
SUMMARY: This game was really bad and boring.I was only playing this game for like 10 minutes and got bored of playing it.-_-
THE GOOD: Differnet gameplay modes, great weapons, level design which provides depth and all the gadgets and girls you've come to expect from 007.
THE BAD: Graphics... but then, they are not terrible, and I've seen worse.
SUMMARY: "Tomorrow Never Dies" is brilliant, and the fact that you are not simply shooting people, but skiing and driving as well, adds depth and variety to the whole game. The levels are nicely done, and the controls are easy to pick up, making TND very playable indeed. All the guns, girls and gadgets are present, which completes the Bond package and really makes this game amazing.
Some may say "the graphics spoil the game!" but I disagree. The graphics are not terrible: they get the job done, and you can clearly see what everything is, where it is and how to get there without messing up your tuxedo. Pierce Brosnan looks exceptionally sharp in the game, and people like Johnathan Price are instantly recognisable as their film characters. The draw distances are not brilli...
THE GOOD: Exceptional Sound, Good Storyline and Fairly Good Control
THE BAD: Troubled Graphics but its not too bad No multiplayer
SUMMARY: TND is a great 3rd Person Action Game, that will fill your shooter needs and with skiing, driving a Beemer and shooting this is a must buy game. Even if you don't like shooting games and don't like James Bond the first time you'll play this game you'll be hooked
THE GOOD: Pleanty of action, it's Bond, nice ideas.
THE BAD: A bit repetative, sloppy graphics.
SUMMARY: A rather good game here that is worth a look. People always compare this to GoldenEye, but that is unfair because of the different style, game console and storyline. If you own a PSOne (or PS2 if you're desperate, but, if not, get Agent Under Fire) and must have a Bond game, consult the following list: 1: The World Is Not Enough. 2: Tomorrow Never Dies. 3: (and don't even think of buying this game) 007 Racing.
Though it seems like this game was in the works forever, the finished product is preety satisfactory overall. The espionaggeladen story is broken up by occasional minigamestyle segments that help keep the story moving along.Unfortunatelly, when the action heats up the frame-rate drops unpleasently.
