Sled Storm

THE GOOD:
Awesome tricks, good tracks (especially on the open mountain with all the shortcuts), upgrading your sled,.. Really cool game for the whole family.

THE BAD:
It could have more secret players to unlock.

SUMMARY:
We bought our PlayStation in '99 and not being sure which game to buy, we got Underground JAMPACK Winter '99. Sled Storm was the game that got our attention. We bought it, we played it and 3 years later it is still our favorite game. If you are looking for a good racing game that adults and children can all enjoy together, this is the one!

SUMMARY:
This game is one of my personal favorites. There is some solid racing, and plenty of tricks. The better lap position your in and the more tricks you do, the more money you get. Did you know that you get $750 for running over a rabbit? Running over things will get you more money too. What do you do with your money? You upgrade your sled, thats what you do. You can get Hologen lights for night racing, a more powerful engine, but make sure you don't get a rooster tail because it can block your view.

Bottom Line:

What are you waiting for, get this game.

Sled Storm was the first snowmobile racer to come out for any major system, so it had to set a decent example in order for other games to follow in its path. When you first start playing you will feel like the controls are really hard to master and even learn. But if you have ever driven one of those bad boys you will realize they are pretty exact to real life. The graphics are not the best out there, but they are in no way bad. Glitches and openings rarely appear, but they are still noticable. Sled Storm has some really good music for a racing game, although it is not the best that one has ever seen. If you are looking for a fun racing game that is not too challenging but neither a breeze, go out and play Sled Storm. You will most likely not want to buy it, but it certainly is worth a rent.
