In this game, Dr. Wily introduces his own eight Robot Masters. Taking place some time soon after Rockman 1, the sequel begins with a view of Tokyo and its mountainous backdrop at night. In the foreground, we see a large building. As the prologue unfolds, the angle pans up the building until we see Rockman standing on top, helmetless.
So begins the second Rockman game.
