THE GOOD: - BMX Lovers Game - Kick ass levels - Interesting for Non-Bikers - Different version to THPS series
THE BAD: - The Graphics pretty much suck - Charactor selection aint so big - Hoffman is like Hawk, the main man instead of having it all spread out to every charactor.
SUMMARY: I pretty much liked and hated this game. It seemed like a horrible game at first but then I started to like it and it showed that they can make games better then THPS. The Hoffman series will live just as strong as the Hawk series. Buy this game as soon as you can.
THE GOOD: Not much to say here. Graphics arent bad.
THE BAD: The music and lack of options compared to Tony Hawks 2
SUMMARY: Ok this game really sucks. First off i payed 30 bucks for a game i finished in 24 hours. And i stink at these games. Compared to Tony Hawks 2 #1: no create a biker! #2 No secret areas! #3 no gap check lists, #4 same exact create a park (comone give us something new) finishing a level was never made so easy! You cant buy stats and tricks! That stinks. I know they are trying to make it different from THPS2 but come one give us something. You cant buy a bike or parts but you only get 2 new ones when you clear certin levels, When clearing a level it is so easy, Every level is the same (collect secret book, spell trick, high score and sick score, and hit something (trash cans lights ect..) There are so few levels only 8 and 2 of them are comps. You cant choose what style you want your biker from (thps2 had 2)It is so hard to see where you are going (like THPS2) but when you hit a wall (and you will) he bounses back and just sits there for a second or two, I DO NOT recomend this game. Oh yea and the music sucks! Comeing from an ex biker/skater I recomend THPS2 that game is 3 times as long and 20 times harder!
THE BAD: Someone should have told them about the release of Tony Hawk 2
SUMMARY: After literally wearing out 2 controllers on TH2, I jumped at the opportunity for something to appease my "jones" for more TH-like action. But Mat Hoffman is just a midnight snack instead of a full-course meal. A real lack of options, tracks, and secrets stop this from being the classic it might have been a year ago. Rent it first.
Made from the creaters of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, this is almost the third addition to this installment. All of the game modes are the exact same. The trick system is an identicle match. The graphics are a little bit choppy at times, but when it isn't it has some of the best graphical systems in a Playstation game. There also is some decent music but nothing to really brag about. All around this is a great game that most will enjoy
SUMMARY: Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX certainly raises the bar and continues where the other games have left off. Including secret players such as Tony Hawk, and Grannie, this game gives the feel of THPS2 but, with bikes. Altough there is no "Create a Biker" this game has a level editor very similar to THPS2. The editor is easy to work with and the saved parks take up very little space. The music is ok. (Just turn the music volume down and turn on the radio) This game certainly defies past game creations. Previews of THPS3, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 and other sports related games- for example surfing. Go out and get the game.
