THE GOOD:
-Overall, the gameplay is a great deal of fun. -The graphics are quite good for their style. -Combat is simple to understand. -With patience and practice, you can create equipment that kicks the crap out of anything else you'll find in the game. -A fair number weapon types to choose from, and each type has a number of powerful special skills to spice up your battles. Throw in the many extra skills, and you've got a lot of variety. -It's kind of easy to get immersed in the quests. -You can catch Eggs, which hatch into monsters that you raise as Pets. Some maps also have unique pets that you can recruit if you've met certain requirements. -You can make Golems, which function much like Pets do. -The music is just... Oh, it's not easy to describe... -Unlockable "Nightmare" and "No Future" modes, in case you want more of a challenge the second time around. -Interesting characters. THE BAD:

- Addictive battle system. - Many quests, plots and sub plots to play - Item making, Item hunting... - Graphics - Replay THE BAD: SUMMARY:
One of the games of Square Soft's 2000 ''Summer of Adventure'', Legend of Mana is a significant departure from the usual RPG Square is famous for. Gone is a linear, centralized storyline--instead, the game plays out almost as a series of side-quests, some connected together, others standing alone. This approach has its good points and bad--it's easy to pick up Legend of Mana and play for a half hour or so, which I for one would be reluctant to do with a standard RPG, not knowing where the next save point may be. On the other hand, the independent chunks of storyline fail to resolve themselves into anything significant by the end of the game.
Gameplay: 6/10 As I've outlined, progressing in the game of Legend of Mana involves taking on various quests and completing them. Talking to certain people or simply creating some of the lands (more on this later) will begin a quest. Most of the time this will involve a trip through a standard RPG-esque monster-infested dungeon or...

almost everything in this game rocks. customization is a big thing, you pick your gender, weapon, location, you can even rename items and equipment. if you wanna you can make your weapons name rubber chicken or get a bottled weapon and name it urinesample. the graphics are amazing and hand drawn. the music is 1 of the best soundtracks in a rpg. i think the battle system is amazing 2 cause its sorta like a fightin battle system and the rest is rpg. i like that cause my fave genre is rpg and second is fighting. THE BAD: SUMMARY:
This game is perfect in any way, and is the best game I have ever played and owned. It's graphics are cute and detailed enough for me to say that this is a very artisticly fun game. This game is probably one of the best RPG's ever made by Squaresoft, and I would sell my soul to make more of them. I think there should be more to the Legend of Mana games. But the characters should be the same. The game is good as it is, just there should be more of them. The new ones should be made for GameCube and be realistic looking. A realistic look to this game would make it even more fun, even though it's art has already shot through the roof. But the guy should look more like a guy and both male and female characters should have medium brown hair to satisfy both blondes and burnets, two sides to a war that has been going on for decades. I write my own series of LoM books. I'll soon have a web site set up for my books. My current main page right now is...
