Hogs of War

Hogs of war for the Playstation. This game, back in the day, was intended to be a direct competitor to Worms. Sadly, it never prevailed as much as Worms did, and a sequel was meant to be released early-to-mid 2009, but wasn’t actually released, though was announced. Set in the fictional land of Saustralia, there are five lands in this land, Bellyopolis, Arstria, Trotsville, Hogsville, and the last level, with the legendary Team Lard on the Isle of Swill. You are led by Commander I.P. Grimly.

The game involves you, and your team of pigs, basically out to kill the other team’s pigs. You start off in boot camp (although you have an option to skip boot camp, if you already know how to play. Boot Camp does help you learn the game, and you can have a play around with the weapons you are given). Unless you cheat, all your pigs start out as grunts. I am not sure if there is a single player DM mode.

SUMMARY:
First off, I always used to play this game. Great game. I also used to play Worms.

Now which is better? I am not fully sure.. See this one is just fun..

You get pigs to choose from and you move around like in worms with a time limit and certain weapons. But this is in full 3-d with pigs not worms!

You can also promote your pigs to higher ranks getting enginers to lay mines and use their super shotgun to blast enemies far into the air. Or people to call in air strikes, motors, etc!

A old, yet Great game.. A classic.

THE GOOD:
Funny character voices. Wide variety of weaponry. Lot of stuf to blow up.

THE BAD:
Regardless of the number of enemies you kill, they still get to go every other turn, sometimes leaving you to wait to use your better soldiers.

SUMMARY:
I rented this game expecting the same boring games I've been finding lately. I buy all the games I like to play, an sadly to say for my Playstation I own only about 15 to 20 games. This is definitely going on the list, mainly for it originality to me.
