Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22

THE BAD:
Nearly everything else that i didn't mention.

SUMMARY:
Well there are actually 27 characters in the game because in the instruction booklet it tells you a cheat how to get another 5 characters and the main title screen changes too "Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 27" Which is kinda lame. There are some cool people in the game like Gogeta and Gotenks but if you want a good Dragonball Z game try Dragonball Z Budokai 3. The graphics are blocky and the gameplay is slow and jerky. The story line is pretty rubbish too although you can level your characters up. The best bit about the game that it is simply Dragonball Z.

Overall i would rate this game around 36% as they could have made this way better.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
This game sucks!!! I don't approve it by a mile. I hate it by a millenium!!!

It has bad graphics. The characters look light(which is alright)but the backgrounds are just pictures and are flat. You only have about 6 moves for one character, and can only be used by one character. And there are 20 characters and 5 special characters. So 6x25 is 150 moves, which actually aren't that many. And their moves are mostly made up. They also show the hidden characters in the manual! And they give the cheat codes in it too!!! And they forgot to translate it, so you will be reading and listening to Japanese talk. It has that fighting style that Super Mario Bros. have and most games in the original Nintendo time line have: the sideways fighting style. And it is out in 2003, for Playstation, but Playstation 2 was already out then. It does have the tournaments, 2 player, and enhancement of character skills(which doesn't matter).

But I definately don't reccommend it, and you can't buy it, I forbid you.

THE BAD:

-Didn't included kid buu.
-Loading is very long!
-Need more characters.

SUMMARY:
-They should put some of these characters: Mystic Gohan / Kid Buu / Android 17 / Imperefect Cell.
-The energy power goes down really fast!
-Should put training ground.
-Should put all the different kind of clothes on Trunks, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccollo.
-Trunks doesn't have alot of moves.
-Goten doesn't have alot of spirit balls attack.
-Should add Kibito / Old Kai, and some others.
-Should put some of this characters: Brolli/ King Cold/ Vegito/ Cooler evoulution 0/ Cooler Evoulution 1/ Metal Cooler/ Cyborg frieza/ Frieza evoulution 0/ Frieza evoulution 1/ Frieza Evoulution 3/ Trunks(punching technics turns into swords tenchnics).
-Trunks when fighting Cell kind of clothes( in super saiyan 2).
-Need more life gauges.
-Need more energy gauges.
-Need more blocks in Build up mode.
-Need more characters in Build up mode to battle.

THE BAD:

SUMMARY:
UB22 is a first-generation PS1 DBZ brawler originally released in Japan in 1995...and it's also a steaming turd. The publisher must think kids will buy anything with Goku on the cover, no matter how awful it is/ Here, you get a heaping load of slow, stunted, and incredibly bland one-on-one fighting (against the computer or a friend), more akin to a game or rock-paper-scissors with amputees than a majestic Super Saiyan face-off. Even worse are the game's crapulent visuals. The arenas seem as if they've been pulled straight out of a third-grader's diorama project made of poorly painted cardboard, the characters look like paper dolls, and the most attacks have two frames of animation (yet still take forever to pull off). I'm not a huge fan of the series anyway, but I'm pretty sure DBZ creator Akira Toriyama could take a dump in a bag and sell it to you for the same price and you'd get more entertainment value out of it.

SUMMARY:
Ultimate Battle is one of the best dragonball z games on PS1,compared 2 Final bout,I think the fans will prefer this one,In this game the charcters are mmuch faster,The characters are all different and they have all their own fighting style.But there's no Story Mode(thats 2bad) because there 27 characters in this game.
In this game there is a Arcade Mode,Two Players Mode,Tournament Mode, Built Up Mode an Built Up Battle.
The hardcore Dragonball Z fans will like this game.
But its better to buy this and Final bout. I personally love this game because I'm one of those BIG fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The combos were too hard to understand and learn, there was no story mode. And Vegito & Kid Buu weren't in it.

SUMMARY:
A good overall game, a few more modifications and it'd be perfect. I highly recpmmend buying this if you are a Dragon Bal Z Fan, if not, it's still a good beat em' up. A perfect partner for this game is Dragon Ball Z: Legends, both are brillaint games, and from having both, I urge you to buy them.

THE BAD:
Awful controls, the sound gave me a headache, I've seens SNES games that have better graphics than this, Really freakin hard, No technique, really, really, really slow. Just a horrible game by all means in my eyes.

SUMMARY:
How many good DBZ games have there been? To this day, one. the other 15 or so have all been ranked amoung the worst games in excistance, and UB22 is one of them.

The graphics are the worst I've seen in over a decade,the sprites look like they were cut striat from the snes and even then the graphics were bad.

The sound will make you want to mute your T.V., as it is annoying and sounds like something from the atari age.

The gameplay is slow, controls don't seem to respond most of the time, it's really, really hard as the CPU seems to block EVERYTHING you throw at it. Hell, I my opinion this game is barely controlable!

The game, although having a couple crappy unlockables, has no life and will make you turn it off after the first five minutes. the only thing this game has going for it is it's selection in characters, Infogames should be ashamed of themselves for re-releasing a game that wasn't even good for it's time. DBZ bodukai and DBGTFB aren't good games, but both of them are better than this in every possible way. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Even if you're a dbz fan.
