I'm extremely surprised at the amount of crictism that poor Crash Bash recieved. I own some old magazine that described this game as "stinky Bandicoot piece of poo" or something along those lines. I decided to defy the critics and rent it. And...

THE GOOD:
Fun games.
Catchy music, especially the pogo games.
Nice mix of characters.

THE BAD:
The characters have fixed facial expressions.
Some of the characters don't sound right.
Rilla Roo was seriously abused.

SUMMARY:
Crash Bash is, first and foremost, a really fun game to play. Its not without its problems, but we'll get there in a moment.

The story is this: Aku Aku and Uka Uka are arguing over who is the stronger. They agree on a contest. Whoever wins gets to control Earth. Since they can't fight each other, they send their greatest champions into battle.

There are eight characters in total, four good and four evil. Uka Uka's team consists of Dr Neo Cortex (of course), his arch-rival Dr N Brio, Koala Kong and a new baddie going by the name of Rilla Roo. Aku Aku's team is, naturally, Crash Bandicoot, his sister Coco Bandicoot, and finally Tiny Tiger and Dingodile. No, you are NOT going blind! Uka originally had...

THE GOOD:
The number of levels.
The character abilities.
The multiplayer.

THE BAD:
Single player.
Not enough characters.
Terrible story.
Boring bosses.
The MUSIC.
The AI.

SUMMARY:
Meh.
The game is alright if you have friends. Single player is mad boring. The bosses are very uncreative.
The music is terrible with its CONSISTENT looping. The story is half-baked too. However, the number of games are amazing and you and your friends can have good fun.

Single player stinks NOT ONLY because it is super-boring, your AI seems to be pretty weird.

Sometimes they will be the most idiotic AI you would EVER see. And sometimes they will be so cheap they won't let you lay a FINGER on them even on EASY difficulty!

It's one or the other, and it's stupid.
It's a mediocre party game that should ONLY be obtained if you have a multitap.

Best party game ever! The Crash characters are cool, and there's the fact that you can team up with whoeve pops next to you! For example, let's say you're using one of the weaker characters, like Crash, Coco, Dingodile, Rilla Roo, Cortex or N. Brio. Then, Koala Kong or Tiny pops up. If you do Crate Crush, your best bet is to team up with these two because they're so strong! But, that's coming from someone who has played this game a lot. Aside from the fact that you shouldn't play this game alone, Crash Bash is a must for your Crash Bandicoot collection!
Then again, maybe you're not the type who team up. That's where you should be Koala Kong or Tiny, for no one else can stand a chance in the arenas when you're one of these giants. Be warned, though, that the suckers are a lot tougher to beat as the...

The characters are really fun to use, the levels are challanging, and for you hard games lovers out there, the computer players get really smart.....

Sometimes the Computer Players get a little too smart.....

SUMMARY:
This is a good game. I wouldn't call it my favorite, but it was pretty good. I really liked the fact that the computer players get smart on the hard mode, I'm one of those people who just likes hard games. Well maybe not that hard.....Anyway, sometimes the Computer players get a little too smart. After a while, the challanges become hard to beat. I mean, first, when you're doing an adventure mode, you're doing really good and getting all the easy stuff. Big no-no. I got all the easy stuff, now I'm STUCK at the hard challanges, and I tell you, they're not easy to get past. Advice: Try to get to the really hard challanges first. Oh sure you can get all the trophies, gems, and crystals. They're easy. But...

Nothing unusual for a PS1 game...

SUMMARY:
The themes and division of the game were well set into groups that represented them fairly. Some of the challenges in the seven groups were alot more enjoyable, like the racings ones. I am a Crash fan and I think this game did a good job on everything except for maybe sound quality, which was lackin in being impressive. If you have the right experienced players this game could be hours of fun for any group that likes a challenge. On a One Player mode though, I felt that the computer (on certain levels) was not playing fair, not sure if that was just something in the programming or it was a glitch. The game designers did a good job with including the right characters for a multi player game, taking all the favorites and jam packing them into one game for more of a selection. The most interesting parts of this game has to be the ice arena...

THE GOOD:
At first I was afraid Dingodile wouldent be in it but he is. Almost everyone looks the same as in the regular Crash Bandicoot games

THE BAD:
Dingodile:He doesnt sound or look the same Crash:In the other games, Crash said a few things Aku Aku:Does NOT sound the same there is no Pura or Polar in this game.

SUMMARY:
This game somewhat stinks because Dingodile does not have his flamethrower, Coco doesnt have her laptop, Tiny cant run,Coco spins like her brother, Crash. You cant unlock any charaters, e.g.N.Tropy,Pura, or Polar. ohterwise, the game is good. Although, Only buy it if you really really feel like it because it stinks in some levles. Some charaters are werid when some are cool.Some charaters do better at diffrent levels and some do not.I also think that who ever made the game should have included the charater's origional wepons or attacks.

This game is awful! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME!! DO NOT BUY! I got this game 4 xmas and was a huge fan of the crash series then. When i played this game, i was very dissappointed. There was nothing new to this game. The theme tune was copied from Crash 3. The graphics for this game are quite good 4 PS1 but there are loads of glitches in this game. Like the other time in a polar push level, i bombed a character and the bomb went straight thru him and he wudn't move. weird huh? There are only 3 modes. 3 MODES for a party game? That is just low. There's an adventure mode were the storyline is rubbish and doesn't keep you gripped to the game. The only thing new is you get a new character Rilla Roo only because there's 8 characters in total and 2 of them have similarities. there was no1 similar to dingodile, that's the only reason he's there.
