THE GOOD:
The game has a fairly good story line and it is entertaining to explode helpless viliagersTHE BAD:
It is anoyingly dificult to switch weapons especialy since you need to use all your weapons at one point or another SUMMARY:
It could have been better, I am giving it a little leway for being old but the graphics are fairly poor the control looks jerky and weapons are anoyingly dificult to switch. Aside from this it is worth picking up especialy if you are an avid fan of the Legacy of kain series as this is where it originated. After this game one should play Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, and Defiance in that order if the wish it to be cronological (though the time traveling in SR2 takes you all the way back to Blood Omen). The game is no where near as short or easy as its succesours. Don't play it if you are looking for a short game and you can get lost if you set it aside for to long as you are almost completely free to roam Nosgoth with the exception of the few paths barred untill you get specific weapons. |

Great story line many hours of play and the graphics were nice at the time.
THE BAD:
Looks outdated now, goals a little unclear at time.
SUMMARY:
I was looking through my old game collection and came upon this I started playing and remember how much I still like this game, in fact I prefer it to the more recent legacy of Kain games. It has a very nice gothic theme to it and plays very well even though the loading times are a tad annoying at times.
The story is very well written and gets you hooked on the game and it has there is a lot to this game meaning it isn't over too soon.
This is one of the hottest games I have played this whole year - superb graphics and a soundtrack by NIN make this a great action romp. Some other users have diss'd the game cuz they say it's too short, or it doesn't have enough weapons.... forget what they say, cuz the game is freaking HARD, and the weapons that you have access to require some serious skill to really master, so all in all the game is tuff to beat, and not at all suitable for pansies. Two thumbs way up |
