THE GOOD:
This game is a fun turn-based rpg. And it's one of the original PSX games!(The first game of it's kind!!!!!!!)

THE BAD:
Too addictive. (Not that it being addictive is so bad...) Levelling up system sucks. But the rest is great.

SUMMARY:
This is my favourite PSX game in the world.
It is good, and very addictive. The battle system is different from any i've ever seen before. The game isn't too easy, but it isn't really hard, making it JUST RIGHT. The controls are very easy too master though. For a game this old to be good, I think it's great. Also, this game was also quite cheap, and usually cheat games are crap, but not in this case. 2 big thumbs up, a huge smile, and some really sore fingers from playing Battle Hunter for so long!!!!!!!
WHAT A GREAT GAME PEOPLE~!

THE GOOD:
Arg, about two years ago I got this game in one of my quests to find some cool PS1 games before they were all lost to this fast growing swarm of gamers I'm competing with. Well, the best things about this game is the cover looks cool, and from the moment I took it off the shelf, up until when I put it in my PS1, I was about as excited as can be, it looks like a thrilling RPG shooter game...but...it's nothing like that at all...

THE BAD:
Hm...where to start? Well, first of all this game has bad graphics, even for a PS1 game you'd think it'd be better than this, especially since it doesn't have a good story to compensate. Generally the games with bad stories have good graphics to try and cover for it, but, this one doesn't. Looks like the creator decided this bad game shouldn't even get graphics to defend it. Also there's the story, which I think I've mentioned, was, in fact. terrible. I've seen plenty of good, and sometimes just decent post-apocolyptic games and movies to tell you that this one really ain't anything special. So, some various soldiers of different fighting styles, and different backgrounds (actually the characters came with no story, but we'll get to that later), are all out there, fighting to make some green, and as one of them, you fight your way through "fields" full of competing characters trying to find some secret boxy thing that is the goal, while at the same time, trying to get past a few dull, uninspired baddies that chase you chess or checkers style.
The "field" is in fact just a board of squares, much like a chess or checkers board, but it gets better. You move incredibly slowly, as do your competitors, AND the enemy monster thingies. there are several walls, and boxes to get around, and open, but one of the boxes is the box that has your goal, what you and your competitors are after. You must find this box out of sheer luck, and skill, and open it before someone else.
If this weren't enough to put your to sleep, there's also a lack of cool fighting that makes the battles (the one thing that could've saved this game) also in this. The battles are relativly challenging, but in the same way that math problems are challenging. You are usually up against two monsters when you do fight (which is rare) and you can only attack and defend in one way. there's nothing complex or interesting about it.
Finally we come to the final straw that broke this camels back: characters. The characters all look very interesting and cool, despite the bad graphics. And, they could've had interactive stories and intertwining plots to make it all worthwhile, but they don't. No one seems to have a story of their own, and they have nothing in the game, or the booklet to tell you about who you play as.

SUMMARY:
In total this is a sad sad game that was a total waste. Please don't waste a shred of your short time on this earth with this game.
