Ape Escape

Ape Escape is a game about a young boy trying to stop monkeys from going back in time. Okay, the story isn't too advanced. The feature of this game that is incredible is gameplay.
By using different tools you obtain throughout the game, you go to themed levels and catch a certain amount of monkeys while fending off hordes of cartoonish beasts. At first glance, levels seem childish and simple. However, after actually playing the game, you will realize how addictive Ape Escape really is. Each monkey is unique, and catching a monkey allows you to read a fake 'bio' of it. Some monkeys have guns. Some swim. One monkey stands on the back of a dinosaur. Everything is planned and executed with sheer excellence.
Also, levels stick to themes based on different time periods. There are prehistoric themes, ice age themes, etc. The monsters in each level fit perfectly with the theme. You have to face off against dinosaurs, giant fish, and a few robots.

SUMMARY:
Ape Escape is unique. It's one of a kind, the only game that requires you to travel through time catching monkeys to stop history being changed.

To achieve your mission you get to use a number of different weapons, including a boxing glove, a slingshot and RC car.

Monekys get upto all sorts of mischief. Some have guns, some have rockets, others boxing gloves. These are difficult to catch, but look cool. There are also weak monkeys who see you and run.

Brilliant game, work of genious, but controls can be difficult as you have to move and use the weapons using the analogue sticks but once you have practiced for a bit, you can play the game well.

There are 3 mini games you can unlock by collecting special coins. There is a great boxing game that will leave your thumbs...

THE GOOD:
Nothin Much. The gadgets are pretty cool to use.

THE BAD:
Boring and never is fun unless you have children or are a child. Can be annouying because sometimes the monkeys can never be found.

SUMMARY:
The main story is this, a boy trys to take over the world with monkeys, a rival of the boy steps up and trys to save the world by catching the monkeys. Lame eh? Thought so.

SUMMARY:
This game is the best adventure game I ever played. This game uses full advantage of the dual shock controllers. Every button is needed to beat the game. the controlls arn't to bad once you get used to them. The goal is to catch all the monkeys and return them to the ammusment park. This is an excellent game and is worth buying.

SUMMARY:
Ape Escape is a very entertaining game. You get zapped back in time and you have to catch monkeys who were also zapped back in time. The controls are very nice once you get used to them, and the gameplay is great. Some monkeys are harder to catch than others, so you have to find different ways to catch them. Throughout the game, you will get different items to help catch the monkeys. I had a lot of fun playing this game, and I wouldn't mind playing it again. There is some replay value to the game, but not much. This is one of those games that you can beat in less than a week, but you will be very entertained during that week.

Ok on my last reveiw I had some uh...inproper grammer and stuff so I am gonna try and get this one right.

Great game the gadgets are great the story is great too. Even though the gadgets help you catch the monkeys, The monkeys are fast little demons,they fight back and they leave behind banana peels and they can sense you and I think that great because you don't just run around cathing monkeys you have to hunt them down sneak up on them chase them put up a fight and catch them!

THE GOOD:
Controls, replay value, graphics, sound, enemy A.I., story, dialouge, voice-overs, menu system, characters, and the title.

THE BAD:
Camera Angles can possibly get annoying, but who's complaining?

SUMMARY:
Okay. By now you probably saw my score and rushed out and bought the OFG. The only other games that ever got a 5 or 10 in my descriptions are Final Fantasy (7, 8, and 10) and Tony Hawk 3. I don't own a PS2, but with a game this good, you don't need it. I swear, everything except the camera is almost as exceptional as FFX. Really! I won't get into all of the details, but I'll give you some things that stand out:
1. Controls. Dude!!!!!! Two analog sticks!!!!!
2. Music. Especially the drums. Then again, I play drums. Every percussion rocks.
And finally,
3. Enemy A.I. The monkeys actually fire rocket launchers and run away and stuff.
Look, I normally hate platformers...
