THE GOOD:
+ A wide variety of Characters and Levels
+ A whole lot of Unlockables
+ Hours of gameplay
+ Hundreds of Tricks to Pull-off

THE BAD:
- Graphics

SUMMARY:
Z-Axis and Acclaim really worked hard on this game and it shows. Though being the first PSX game I ever played, I didn't have high expectations, but this game easily surpassed them within seconds of experiencing its amazing gameplay.

In the main mode, ProQuest, you get to take on the role of a BMX Pro riding your way through levels to complete certain challenges, and also going to competitions from time to time. With all of the things you can unlock in this mode, you will be stuck playing it for hours, oblivious to the time just flying by. Though ProQuest may be the main mode, it most certainly doesn't mean that the other modes aren't good at all. There is of course the Single Session, Free Ride and 2 Player modes too. I really enjoyed Free Ride because it...

THE GOOD:
Good Levels, Good tricks (some are impossible in real life but oh well) Dirt Jumping. Good facial detail on riders. Double Backflip in intro

THE BAD:
Physics are pretty floaty and slow motion. Still better than DMBMX2. Lack of videos.

SUMMARY:
Graphics: 8/10 The graphics are a little blocky, but when you get a look at the faces of riders the people are quite detailed. They get the job done well.
Physics: 6/10 Pretty floaty and slow moving. Very unrealistic. MHPBMX had better physics. Also the height numbering on the air meter was stupid, would have seemed much more real if they just put feet on the meter, not metres. Seriously while not changing the engine it would have felt realer.
Tricks 10/10 I played Mat Hoffman before this and I found it fun with its 24tricks or whatever it had. Dave Mirra has pretty hard to use and find specials but The tricks are amazing. Theres about 1000 combinations possible and no handed...

This game is pretty good if you like Extreme games that are exciting. But the tricks are a little bit hard to pull off, also, it is a bit too realistic, especially with all of the beefing. But if you are the kind of person that overlooks all bad qualities of games, then this is the game for you. I would recommend this game to anybody who likes Extreme Biking games.

has great depth and a huge selection of tricks as well as the actual parks that are on the tour and practice parks. It also has a few new paks that are just fun to thrash. The graphics are not meant to be outstanding but are still more than acceptable. Game play is what Dave Mirra is all about, and it's got it bagged and served. It's Tony Hawk on a bmx.
