Background

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is a fighting/side-scroller title harkening back to the days of 8-bit, and spoofing a showcase of iconic video games to boot. It follows the basic plot of the popular graphic novels written by Bryan Lee O'Malley, known by the same name.

Game Play

This game's mechanics are similar to that of Double Dragon, which involves constant roaming and beat-em-up style objectives. It features four-player co-op, where you can select either Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Stephen Stills, or Kim Pine to play as. In a typical RPG fashion, each character wields their own separate moveset and can upgrade and expand on them through gaining experience and leveling up. Coins fly out of defeated enemies which can be used as currency to purchase various items and power-ups as you progress. Combination attacks can also be performed in Co-op mode through each player on the screen utilizing their taunt at the same time.

Features

There are random Subspace locations hidden within each level which can potentially grant you extra coins. There are also in-game cheat codes which can unlock various modes from Survival Horror Mode or Boss Rush.
