I will break down the game into a few categories for individual score and then give an analysis of why they got this score.
Graphics- 5/5 The graphics in burnout are amazingly good and the cars are very detailed, along with the environments being very detailed as well. Level Design- 5/5 Seeing as there is really only one level the city criterion did an amazing job with it. There is everything from a busy downtown area to a rural country. There are multiple hidden areas with fun jumps and tricks to do that include the quarry, the airport, and the race track. There is a lot of variety and a lot of areas to explore. Menu Design 4/5 While the "easy drive" menu is extremely nice, convenient, and gives you easy access to many functions. The main menu is somewhat awkward and certain menu's a separated from each other through pushing the square button. These separations were not necessary and make the menu seem weird.
Criterion pulled out all the stops and completely reinvented the fifth installment of this popular arcade racer for the next gen consoles. Burnout is a high octane arcade racing game. There's no messing with car settings to improve your speed by 10Kph. There are no graphs showing your gear ratios. If you're looking for a simulator wait for GT5. However... Lowest Prices |
