THE GOOD:
One of the few games available on PS2 that are suitable for young children. But parents can get addicted too!

SUMMARY:
Good graphics. Many missions are easy to achieve so even young children can play. Other missions are challenging enough for adult play and hard enough for children to be able to master it in stages which means a longer shelf life at home! The weapons are different (how many games use boomerangs), and you get to smash and crash enough stuff to satisfy the destructive tendancies of a 7 year old boy without being violent. There is a lot of exploring and for many missions in order to defeat the big bad dude you have to THINK and figure out what needs to be done. It isn't all obvious and requires some deductive reasoning. All in all we really like this game.

THE GOOD:
Ty is cute

THE BAD:
Where to begin? Moves are limited to Jump, Bite, and Throw ... oh! and you can glide ... which equals Boring.

SUMMARY:
Ratchet and Clank is my Favorite Game .. I thought Ty might be like Ratchet ... well, not a chance!
Ty does nothing that makes me want to play this game for more than 10 minutes. His movement is limited, which sucks ... and it makes it all the more HARDER to collect stuff.
You have to go around (in circles) and rescue Bilbies that are trapped in cages .. you have to free all 5, to earn a Thunder Egg. Some Bilbies are easy to spot .. easy to free, others you have to jump from one thing to another .. glide down and into a waterfall ... and some you can't get to and there's nothing telling you how .. so you're stuck running around in circles.
You have to collect 8 Thunder eggs total by doing different tasks and some are all most impossible to do because the movements of Ty are so limited. You have to collect 300 opals, try to reach (in some way, shape or form) Golden Cogs, find hidden picture frames (some are hidden in the walls of caves and in rocks ... you can sort of make out an outline of a picture .. throw your boomerang at it, and a picture frame will pop out)amongst other things you have to pick up .. like food.
I thought 2 of the worst levels/worlds were "Walk in the park" and "Ship Rex". Walk in the park .. it seems like you're running around in circles and in Ship Rex .. This is where you learn to swim and you get boomerangs that work underwater ... swimming seems to be a pain, and the quicksand is frustrating.
Weapons: All you have are boomerangs! Oh, and you can bite. You just feel Limited and constricted in what Ty can do.
There's so much more that I could complain about, but everyone is different with their likes and dislikes when playing a game. I'm sure that some will like Ty, as I said, he's cute ... but other than that, the game is just lame.

THE GOOD:
Meet 50 characters in the game Including the boomerang loober it's self, 8 different types of boomerangs in the game, 16 big levels of danger and look what austrailia looks like, learn new techinecs in the game.

THE BAD:
looking at the water from the outside it does'nt look real but when your under water it looks pretty real.

SUMMARY:
The game is Great, one of the best ps2 titles out there Better than Spyro the dragon, Rayman and Crash bandicoot. It's great just like Sonic adventure2 For (dreamcast), sonic adventure2 battle For (gamecube) Tombraider 3,4 the last revelation,5 Chronicles For(ps1,pc and dreamcast)only 4 and 5 are out for Deamcast And the final game I'm about to say is Tombraider Angel Of Darkness. I belive that game is going to make the world go crazy Just like Sonic and Mario did years ago. The characters in Ty the tasmainian tiger have some great detail Especially Ty even my friends like it and the art work that I've got ,Drawn pictures by copying not tracing and other poses I've done my self I'm the most talented artist and the best game player in my school. If you get this game you'll probally be glued to it thats if you like shooting, action and adventure games. one more thing before I go away if you copy this webpage www.ty.ea.com or www.ty.kromestudios.com and paste it onto the address bar you can look in to the websites if you look at the ea webpage (Electronic arts) you'll find a hospital picture bottom right corner you can download it you'll find it thats the advert and you can down load more videos about it see for your self. See ya

THE GOOD:
If you liked "Jak and Daxter" and "Sly Cooper" you will love this game as well!

THE BAD:
Could be longer.

SUMMARY:
Fast! This is how you will describe Ty! His ability to run and swim and jump is really so much quicker than other characters in similar games. Hold on, I know what you are thinking. How does the camera angle keep up? Just fine thank you very much!

The game is set in a really great Australian landscape. And what a large landscape it is! You will have many miles to reconnoiter in your quest to finish each and every level. It has new colors and terrain as yet unexplored in previously released games. I am really sure when you get to swim for the first time your mouth will hang open! I was amazed at the scenery and lushness of the artwork above and below the water!

I would judge "Ty the Tasmanian Tiger" to be closer to "Jak and Daxter" in its game approach and feel. In both games you have a large world to roam around in which to have cool adventures. The sound is first rate as well and really compliments the action in each area of the game.

This is a can't miss game that you will really enjoy and should have some big time replay value!
