Turok: Evolution

Turok Evolution is a first person adventure game and part time flight simulator. Don't ask about the story because I have absolutely no idea what's going on. It's about some Indian guy who's trapped in Jurassic Park, and there are gun-toting lizard men on the loose (I kid you not). There is something rather unsettling about seeing a lizard man with a sniper rifle in the same scene as a peaceful stegosaurus.

You play as Tal'Set (the Indian guy), and it's your job to fight the tyrannical lizard men who are apparently a threat to peace and harmony in The Lost Land. This game starts out very promising with some very nice levels in the great outdoors, but it soon degrades into a mess of shootouts inside the tunnels and rooms of underground complexes and cities. The first four chapters (out of fifteen total) are the best part of the game. After that, everything goes downhill and slips into gaming mediocrity (and later slips past that into the nether realm of gaming...

the gameplay is excellent and it has great graphics. it is replayable and is very challenging.

THE BAD:
the controls are very hard to get used to. theres one control to move foward and another just to spin around. it took me awhile to figure out how to zoom with the tek-bow and sniper rifle, and the controls can get very confusing sometimes.

SUMMARY:
the enemy A.I. is excellent and the graphics are very detailed. it is a great story based game and there is enough gameplay to keep you busy for awhile.the chapters are very various and there are many different cool weapons that you can use. the flight levels are great and are very fun to play. they could of made a better game out of the idea though. I give this game a 3.5 because of the alright gameplay and the controls.

THE GOOD:
Cool weapons, awesome flying missions, and a good enemies AI.

THE BAD:
Bad enemies texture, some frustrating levels, and few bosses.

SUMMARY:
This is a great Turok game, but it does has some of its problems, for example, sometimes enemies snipers run in endless circles, a few extremely frustrating levels, like the levels in chapter 6, and bad environmental effects and textures. But, overrall, this is not a bad game, for example, the enemies are smart, for they will ran away when badly hurt, and you will need multiple shots to bring down one enemy.
The flying missions, which I found some people had hated, is not bad, indeed, it is great! With a great variety of enemies, environments, and objectives.
overrall, this is not a bad game, and it is worth buying for.

THE GOOD:
Fire/smoke graphic, but im not here just to see that!

THE BAD:
No story, cheap weapons, multiplayer pauses, terrible characters, bad control with hard to see cross hair.

SUMMARY:
Do not buy this game. It does not worth your time of testing. If you want play a good multiplayer game, i recommend Counter-Strike (PC) .

THE GOOD:
The graphics and sound are incredible.
The action is quick and requires some good skills.

THE BAD:
The story-line is a little slow to develop.
The ability to zoom only applies to certain weapons, as opposed to the pistol and bow.

SUMMARY:
I wasn't quite sure if I would enjoy this game, but, after seeing a little about it on-line, I rented it and was hooked immediately. I had to get my own copy of the game.
The 2-party, head-to-head combat is a lot of fun, too.

THE GOOD:

The bad? Plain and simple I beat the game and even the N64 turok had better graphics they coulda did WAY better with the video game enhancments on the turok but they wanted a quick project aparently and the story line isnt all that great.

SUMMARY:
Normaly it was blow everything up and call it a day but now you have missions! The turok game is becoming a 007 game and its not even intresting anymore.
