THE GOOD:
The good part of this game is that it almost actually looks real enough that you are in the park. If you were to ever buy this game i am almost positive you will like it on first empression. Otherwise you won't if you don't like these types of games.

THE BAD:
The bad part is not so bad. You have to do more than normal and it is harder financially and budgets. you also have to hire more personel for your park. So there are only a few down sides to this game.

SUMMARY:
This great game is astonishing. You actually get to ride the rides. Plus the graphics r so much better than before. Unfortunattly this game has lost the traditional 1 and 2 game effects if u like that. But any way you have so many more options than before. The game is much better than your average game today.

THE GOOD:
The ability to ride the rides you make

THE BAD:
Constant nagging from that little black thing, need to take speed to cope.

SUMMARY:
Roller Coaster Tycoon's Worthy Rival?
I have spent hours of my life, playing this game desperately to the end, just so i could say: HA! I'm a moron! actually, not so i could say that, but to see if it matches up with roller coaster tycoon (you must understand, these kind of games are what i live for). Well, I might as well just go through this step by step.

Graphics- Better, but slightly. The only major improvement is being closer to the things you are doing on-screen. RCT-7, TPRC-8

Sound- RTC has the definite edge in this department, the only relief of the monotonous wailing of children and droning voice of the little black dude (i still have NO idea as to what he is yet) is that you CAN mute the television and pop in a cd to listen to instead. RCT-8, TPRC-4

Gameplay- Well, this category really depends on if you live on jolt. RCT is a slightly slower, more controlled game that doesn't suggest (demand) that you raise cash to do certain things in order to have a chance at going to the next level. In TPRC, you do not go on for a minute without being perputually bombarded by 50 different "e-mails" all stating the same thing in different ways: You've worked your butt off trying to make your dream roller coaster and just realized that you no longer have the money to actually hire a mechanic/janitor/entertainor/researcher /guard/lawyer to sue the person who came up with the idea of the little black guy and his toothpaste commercial voice. RCT-9, TPRC-6

Does it live up to its name?- In Roller Coaster Tycoon, you have the freedom to do anything, anytime, anyway, and in any color you want it too and there is really no hassle. Also, you can design your own coasters and desperately hope they work. I made one that shouldve been full circuit, didn't have the cass so i made it power start, go a loop and almost straight up, and it lost its gumption and did it all backwards. Now that's freedom. In TPRC, you have almost no chance of ever making decent roller coasters, you almost never start the park being able to make one, and when you do they suck your money worce than microsoft at a geek convention. RCT-8, TPRC-7.

Fun Factor- All in all, RCT is a really great game that i could spend a week just tinkering around with and getting nothing done. In fact i did, With TPRC, i can play it, but after a couple hours i have to switch back to ffx or tony hawk 3. RCT-10, TPRC-9

Overall Scores/Comparision:
RTC-8
TPRC-6.8 (round up to 7)

On Neoseeker scale: 3.5

I have played this game for over 100 hours (seriously) so please, even 3 years after being made, please consider my opinion.

THE GOOD:
Cool modes to choose from, cool rides...

THE BAD:
Stupidly kiddish...

SUMMARY:
I didn't particulary enjoy this game simply because me being a 18 year old male, it doesn't really interest me. I would say its aimed a much younger audience that would enjoy it much more than I did.

I had a lot of different modes to choose from but none of them really stood out or interested me. They were all simple ideas that seemed to come from the head of a 5 year old.

Overall Outcome: Rent It!

THE GOOD:
Great fun to delete and play again and again. No 2 Rollercoasters alike. No matter how many you build they all turn out different. Learning the best way to lay out the park and use all your items.

THE BAD:
The guide talks way to much. That Bug really bugs you to fire, hire, build, replace, etc. I now turn the sound off.

SUMMARY:
I've done all 14 Ultimate coasters and found all the hidden awards several time now. We even have a web page on it. The Ultimate Rollercoaster is not what you think it would be, but once you find the secret you can build them over and over and try new designs.

It took me about 3 months to find out just what made a coaster Ultimate. Now I know. Visit my site at

THE GOOD:
Lot's of fun

THE BAD:
Freezing....The guide

SUMMARY:
Fist of all I like this game. How ever the guide can get on your nerves. Example: He'll tell you you need more eat or drinks shops because the customer are hungry or thristy. I've built all the eat and drinks shops and have them scattered all over the park. O don't know what else I can do. So far I have been in business for about 70 years and have earned about $500,000 dollars I've earned 5 gold tickets.
