--------------------

After the disappointment from Mafia, I have always kept my eyes after a new mafia game. When The Godfather was announced, I thought that it would be boring as Mafia. But So wrong I was...

What You Do
--------------------

The Godfather is a mafia game, and it's all about respect and money. You will first take the role of an outsider who gets to join the Corleone family after he has done some great things for them. Now he will get the journey of his life, where anything can happen. Friends can turn into enemies, and enemies can turn into friends, you'll never know, but business is business... You will get to rob banks, take over stores for the Corleone family so they will pay you for protection. You will also fight the rival gangs,...

THE GOOD:
The game play is very good, with new features added that have never been added in past games like talking to people and extorting businesses which is highly addicting.

THE BAD:
The cars are a little slow, especially when there are only about 6 of them. Also, the enemies or police cars are always slightly faster, so you have that disadvantage. It loses the flow of actually following the movie.

SUMMARY:
Following the outstanding book by Mario Puzo and the trilogy of films, The Godfather has took it one step further by adding a video game to complete the addition. As soon as I heard about this, I was excited - but nervous at the same time. Was this going to be a good game? Was it going to be a letdown? Well, let me tell you that it WASN'T. This game had me (and still has) playing all day. It is simply a great game. EA had provided me with a game I couldn't refuse.

The game starts with a prologue. It just tells...

THE GOOD:
- Fantastic game play and controls
- You can talk to people by pressing the triangle button unlike GTA
- Phenomonal graphics that are so good they exceed GTA's graphics
- Cool weapons to purchase later in the game
- Owning businesses is a really fun side mission
- And more!

THE BAD:
- Kinda short
- Gets repetitive after a while

SUMMARY:
The Godfather is based on one of the most famous, movie classics of all time. We're talking the 1972 version with Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall and of course, Abe Vigoda. Yes, Abe Vigoda was in The Godfather. He played the part of Salvatore "Sally" Tessio - and at the time of this writing, he is still alive. That means, not dead.

Expect all of the famous scenes of the film to be included in this game. From the horse's head in the bed to the making of a non-declinable proposal. The game begins with your father being gunned down. With little...

THE GOOD:
The Godfather: The Game has many good points. The first is the size of map and distance that you can travel around New York, with the ability of great free-roam. Once you go around the towns, you have to take over warehouses and bomb enemy compounds. This game has great realism and graphics too as you can see newspapers flying around the roads and paths, the pedestrians are so life like and the buildings/markets have also got amazing graphics. Secondly, you can create your own personal character with a new system called Mob Face. You can add scars to your characters face, change his clothes, give him a different style of hair etc. But first of all, you need money, and to get money you have to do certain missions for the Corleones family. You will also get respect as well. Another great thing is that EA put in a new system of fighting so you can actually grab your enemies/pedestrians cloths and punch them various ways using the analogue stick. This looks almost...

THE GOOD:
This game has lots of good and bad points. The game play is realistic. The graphics of the game are also quite impressive. One thing I love about this game is the choice of things to do while you between main story mode missions. Take on contract hits and eliminate other Familiy's high ranks and Don's while trying to complete the Bonus for the hit contract to earn maximum respect and money. Take over enemy business fronts which sometimes cover up a hidden racket in the back of the building. Giant warehouses which are heavily guarded. Take on the compound of opposing families to whip them off the map. Another good point I find is that there is no armor. This makes the game more realistic and if your not careful enough during some shooting situations then you may just find yourself getting killed. This requires you to be more careful and skillful when taking on your enemies and also makes this game more realistic since it only takes 1 good blast from a Barzini...

THE GOOD:
+ Game play
+ Story
+ Mission Length
+ Executions
+ Weapons
+ Graphics

THE BAD:
- Few Missions
- Police are only here to be bribed

SUMMARY:
Let's start with the good about this game. The game play is great. I like the way you can hide behind the walls for protections. Aiming on most game is pretty pathetic where you have to free-aim, but not on The Godfather which has it's own auto-aim. Yes it does have a free-aim but will rarely be used.

As the start the game you get to create your character's facial features. What's great about is if you mess up don't get up in a fret and restart your game, because you can fix them later on in the game. The story basically follows the movies story, but in someone else's point of view, not Micheal's from the movies.

If you have seen the movies like me you'll recognize a lot of the story which is a good thing because you get to remember the good...
