Syphon Filter: Omega Strain

THE GOOD:
Lots of guns
Lots of medals and unlockable items
You create your own badass agent
Nice tidy graphics
Online if you have it

THE BAD:
The lock-on could be better
The control system is a mess
No Gabe Logan
Very hard in places
Some of the level design is tedious

SUMMARY:
Yep, Gabe ain't here any but now he is the Commander and you now creat your own character. It's a bit like the WWE series but not as big or complex. It is a nice touch though. The game it self plays fine but far from amazing. When you are shooting terrorists you need to hold in the R1 button to lock-on. But it's quite sloppy and you will end up wasting bullets half of the time. Thankfully, there is a first-person aim mode to use. Some of the level design is frankly crap. The first level for example you have to go quite far into the level to get a certain item then run all the way back to the start to get another item....

THE GOOD:
harder the syf2-3
has a friends list
great gameplay
making your own char alot of differnt stuff to chose from i got over 78 glasses lol and alot more shirts
controler same as other SYF
online play is alot of fun and offline is too.
head set support
got to play online / oflline to get every thing add alot of gamplay and doesnt make other one more or less great.
ranking system shows how good you are
no one looks the same
alot of differnt types of guns
alot of bonuses.... i mean alot!!!!
story is great just like the other Syphon Filters

need to hold up to talk and 1 person at a time to talk no death matches like in syf 2-3.
no offline 2-4 player
only 9 lvs online.

THE GOOD:
Wide variety of weapons, and accessories for customizing your created agent. Pretty good soundtrack, and voiceacting is done fairly well for the most part.

THE BAD:
You cannot fully complete this game without broadband internet access. You cant get all the weapons, ranks, or even see the best possible ending. No offline multiplayer at all.

SUMMARY:
I was really looking forward to this game.

I had played the previous 3 SF titles, and for the most part loved them. I was disappointed when SF 3 did not come out on PS2, and instead was retained as a PS1 title in the last days of that console.

5 years later, we get Syphon Filter on the PS2, and Im thinking to myself, "This is going to be great. What the PS1 couldnt handle, the PS2 is going to improve on, and this will be awesome."

SUMMARY:
Syphon Filter omega strain takes you to michigan where you will work as an agent under orders of Gabe Logan to discover the syphon filter virus. Unlike previous syphon filter games you dont play as Gabe Logan instead you have to create your own character, that follows under his orders under the IPCA. You get a huge variety of weapons to choose from and fire off, as well as 17 missions that reach places like india, and japan. Overall Graphics are nicely improved, and you have the ability to go online with Syphon filter. My opinion on Syphon Filter omega Strain is it is fair and it basically is a fall on the series, but it should keep you interested. :Have Fun:
