So this game is o.k. peoples. I mean if you really want an RPG game and want one for really cheap then this is yo game but if you want a little bit better looking game just for a bit more then go pick up one of the Final Fantasy series cuz this game is not all that great. Don't get me wrong the story line is good and how the summoning works is great and all but gosh they could've did just a little bit better come on now!!! Having to find each chrachter is fun and how each person has to do different things Ex. Flece can sneek and hide that is a very good touch and how Rosalina can do alot of magic skills. Oh and how you can pick there type of fighting style is pretty kool. Ex....

THE GOOD:
This is one of the best games I have ever played. It was one of PS2's launch titles and it still remains one of my favorite all time games. Great story, good characters and worthy enemies. I was extremely impressed by this game and have to give it up to the people at THQ and Volition. If you are considering trying this game I highly recomend it. Has a great story-line to follow that can suck you in at times and as the story unfolds you discover more and more of the whole picture like a puzzle, they pulled this off well. If you like fantasy, swords, magic spells and RPG's this game is top-notch. A definate 5 out of 5 game for PS2.

THE BAD:

This "game" is not for the average rpg player There is
interesting graphics not much of a sound track
This game is for the lazy dungeons and dragons people
the loading time WILL kill you
the random battles are not as frequent but are long
and can get difficult.
This game has a lot of biblical references and can get
quite annoying

in it's defense I can say it was one of the first game
for playstaion 2...

THE GOOD:
I love the whole battle system idea. The chain attacks are so cool, especially later on in the game. I also love how many things you are able to "upgrade". Like Weapon strength, healing, dark magic, fire magic, lockpicking. Pure genius in my opinion.

THE BAD:
The only two things that were bad were: The graphics of the characters. That was pretty bad. I don't usually care about the graphics, but these were horrible. Also, how hard the battles could be sometimes, especially when there are like four enemies ganging up on you.

SUMMARY:
I don't know if I would buy this game. Maybe if it was like $20, but other then that I would just rent it once again. There really isn't a storyline, so I can't say much on that. I also really liked the quest idea. There were so many to do, and you could totally screw yourself over on a couple of them, but it was a good concept nonetheless.

this game i fell in love with the first time i played and iam not much for playing playstation games i normally let my kids play because that's who i bought it for but when i went into the store to buy my daughter a game i saw summoner which caught my eye and i played it that night and have been playing ever since. i give this game a 5! which iam still trying figure out how do input the game cheats and codes? and what is the title screen? i have no idea since there are so many when the game begins. How come there are no signals on the game for these reasons? i don't know but iam still enjoying it okay you want me to say more about this game? yeah well i haven't quite made it pass the world map seeing as though i am haveing some trouble and the only thing is i can't seem to get my chain back in this game. that would be my only concern but all in all...

THE GOOD:
Liked the storyline and the battle system to a degree

THE BAD:
Slow jerky combat, often unclear missions and horrible ps1 like graphics

SUMMARY:
I like rpgs so naturally I thought i'd give this a go but I was dissapointed. It seemed slow jerky and the graphics to me looked like a ps1 game. Even though I may have been a little hasty I still think it could have been vastly better. I may give it another go one day but having played summoner 2 that will be a long way off as I find the sequel a far superior game. Still there are nice features that did give me enjoyment such as the semi decent voice overs the at times interesting story line and at times rewarding. But more than anything I found the sloppy controls tedious. In any case I got the game for £10 and for that price i'd say it was worth it.

THE GOOD:

-I won't say, but this doesn't seem like a rpg, seems more of like an action game than an rpg.

SUMMARY:
My apologies to anyone that is offended by my review, but i couldn't stand this game. I hated it alot. If you're a diehard fan of FF's or something, yous shouldn't get this game. However, if you like games like Baldur's Gate, this is the game for you. I will say no more....

THE GOOD:
I love RPG's to begin with. But the role play is just awesome with this game and you have complete control of each and every player...

THE BAD:
The slow spell casting time and the inventory is kinda hard to sort out somtimes.

SUMMARY:
This game just KICKS ROYAL A**!! It is alittle but better than Legends of Dragoon. because you can actully use each indvidual player, and the spells are a little bit better..
