THE GOOD: Surplus amount of characters and the trinity sight system which allows you to see the game from different point of views
THE BAD: Controlling the characters in pairs really got annoying.
SUMMARY: First off i got this game thinking this would be the game of the century. I saw all of those good revies on gamespot but when i got it i really didn't like it.
The first thing you notice when you start the game is the 3 characters you can choose from. This is called the trinity sight system which lets you play the game from different perspectives.
The 3 characters are Geddoe, some kind of mercenary or something travels with a group of people (who have names that are related to cards). Chris, a female soldier and Hugo, a member of the Karayan village.
The battle system was the thing that made me not like it so much. People are put in pairs, with 3 as the maximum along with a support character. The pairs can only be...
THE GOOD: Trinity sight system, loads of Characters, Main Character development, Story Development, Story, and Battle System.
THE BAD: Not being able to control characters seperatly in the battle system.
SUMMARY: I picked this game up used at EB Games because I heard a few good things about it, and it looked pretty cool. It was kind of hard to get into at first, but after the story picked up it was great.
One of the great things about this game was you were able to see the story from everyones point of view, using the Trinity Site system, even the Villians. That really opened up the story alot more than most RPG's, plus you got to play as the Villians(Yuber).
The Battle System was a little diffrent than most RPGs since you were able to use Six people, but you controlled them like you would a Three person group, which kinda was bad, because you couldn't give individual orders to each of the party members. But they made up for...
THE GOOD: The storyline, multiple characters to choose from
THE BAD: graphics, thats it
SUMMARY: This is a great game the storyline is incredible its just great and long, I love this game its just so fun to play you'll get sucked in almost right away. For all you fantasy rpg lovers out there don't forget to pick up this game................................ ........................... .................................. ..................................... ............... ............................ ...................... ............................. .......................... ......................... ......................... ........................ ...................... ....................... .................................. .......................... ..................... ..................... ................
THE GOOD: This game has good graphics. Good gameplay. Lots of neat, interesting characters, and of course, tons of very cool enemies and bosses to fight. The different places you explore are all really cool and diverse, but the game has plenty of defects.
THE BAD: For one thing the boss fights are incredibly hard, right from the start. And the strategic fights are even harder, when every single move you make, attack you try, and person you lose, makes a huge difference! Then there's the super cheap, unfair money system, (buy and selling goods at very different prices) and then also, they make upgrading character's equiptment way too hard and expensive.
Finaly there come the times when you simply don't know who to keep in your party, and what things to give to them (with healing items)
this game is far too difficult to be called fair.
SUMMARY: In total it's only good if you can handle it's cheap shots. But if you're used...
THE GOOD: it's originality and the theme/intro thing majig(before you play the game)i liked it alot!
THE BAD: the battles system and camera angle is horrible!
SUMMARY: after playing the game for quite some time, i have decided to submit a review. i was really excited to play one of the suikoden series for the first time. the game was kinda hard at first but once i adjusted to it, it was really easy and boring. there should have been more mini-games, side quests, search items and more places to go. the battle system is so horrible that i hate it! suikoden 1 and 2 have had pretty good reviews from what i heard so far. suikoden three was being compared to ff and ff obviously won that topic/thread. i agree too, that ff was better and konami should have made the game better. so basically for the whole game, you are recruiting characters, meet a masked bishop, lose your true rune, gain it back and defeat the bishop. and they should have put more...
THE GOOD: Game Play and some of the characters were ok, graphics
THE BAD: almost everything, the only things that I put in good actually mean ok, so they were both good and bad...
SUMMARY: This game was horrible, the worst of the 3 Suikodens, this one sorta caught my eye, until I played it, then it destroied my image on the Suikoden Series, Suikoden 1 and 2 were very awesome games but this one...it stinks to high heaven, I can do nothing but complain about this game except for some of the game play was good, and some of the characters were good...but this game does not desreve the recontion of that it does over the past 2 Suikodens, I mean, I go to the other forums and they are dead, but this one if alive, I guess people who call themselves rpg masters or whatever they really are'nt...cause they rather pick a bad game over a good one..:laughs:
THE GOOD: The ability to play three different characters.
THE BAD: Hassle switching between characters, bad-nauseating graphics.
SUMMARY: The graphics in this game are bad for anyone who experiences any kind of motion sickness. Lego-like characters. Also, the storyline in the game is nothing like the two previous Suikodens, which were, in my opinion very good games. This game is definitely not worth buying-there are better games out there.
THE GOOD: trinity sight system the BIG fights the story
THE BAD: nothing is bad, this game is too great!
SUMMARY: Suikoden III, is the third epic RPG in the highly acclaimed Konami series. The tale of the flame champion is one of the best RPG stories you'll find in all of gaming and not only is it one of the best, but it really gives you a sense of emotion throughout the game as you watch characters risk their lives for others, die, and save friends in need.
The first thing you'll notice about this game is the nice visuals. The opening scene shows them in a pretty cool anime type style, while in the game you see pretty decent character models. The game let's you choose which character you wish to play with first for chapter 1 (there are three, I'll explain them in a bit). There's the young yet strong and beautiful Princess Chris, who weilds the sword like no other. There's the young boy Hugo who's people are at war...
