SUMMARY: When this game first came out, I was impressed by its looks. The gameplay is ok, but nothing really special. This game is a good substitute for Rouge Squadron, but Star Fighter isn't as good. Some of the secondary weapons aren't any good, and there is no radar. Fortunately, there is a red arrow that points to the nearest fighter. I would recommend this game if you are a Star Wars fan, otherwise you may not care much for this game
THE BAD: No Radar, You can't fly to space in planet based missions, OK Gameplay
SUMMARY: This game is awsome in a sense. If you liked X-Wing, get this game. If you liked N64 Star Wars Rogue Squadron, get this game. If you like jumping from platform to platform with a Jedi and using the force or a lightsaber..........Don't get this game. This game is what I like to call a hybrid. It's a mix between X-wing and Rogue Squadron. Thats a good thing for a space shooter. With this comes problems with the gameplay. When your flying in planet based missions, theres some invisible wall preventing you from flying up higher. DOH!!! But never fear, you can still shoot up past the wall at oncomming star ships. WOOHOOO!!! Hardly noticable pop-up occurs when trying to crash into the ground, so it won't kill the experience. The graphics are totally out of this world.........literally. I'm especially talking about the space based missions. The plot is cool. The Sound is always great. How can they go wrong with sound, they get theyre stuff from the THX guys. Common!!! =P Well heres my breakdown of it in a nutshell. Graphics: A+ Gameplay: B+ Sound: A+ Overall: A The game is worth it....that is if you love space sims, not jedis. =) Hope you enjoyed the review.
