THE GOOD: Every thing mate! The graphics, the gameplay, the characters; mac, moby, elise, kaori and about 5 others; each with different skills and tricks.
THE BAD: The helicopter which you see for about 5 seconds in the last corse, it has bad graphics.
SUMMARY: This game is the max! Better than ssx tricky by a long way! Superb graphics and brilliant fun! By far the best snowboard simultor the ps2 has seen! (till possibly ssx3 as i have not played that) If you aint got ssx3 then GET THIS GAME! If you have tricky GET THIS GAME!!!!! The levels are highly detailed and not at all short. With 'showoff' 'race' 'warmup' and 'timetrial' you cant really find a fault with this game. Well if you try ridiculously hard then i reckon it might just be possible to find a fault but i dont think so. GET IT MON!
THE GOOD: Awesome tricks, challenging races, and a lot to do. You'll be playing for weeks on end.
THE BAD: The trick book tacks forever to fill. The computer controlled characters can be really cheap in the last race of the circut also.
SUMMARY: SSX is possibly one of the best extreme sports games on the market. With fun courses in strange places, races with challenging computer opponents, a trick book with 50 different tricks for each character, boards to unlock, and different outfits you'll be playing for hours. You can't forget the announcer. He's always got something to say. You have to get gold medals in the events to unlock new characters and gain ranks for the boards. The tricks in the trick book are organized by difficulty. They go from green circle tricks like Stiffy's to black diamond tricks like Double Misty MUTATION to late SINFUL Indy. You'll have fun trying to get all of them.
THE GOOD: The fun of doing all those kick ass tricks, and the graphics are amazing
THE BAD: It takes a long time, like SSX tricky
SUMMARY: Wow, where do i begin? This game wrote the BOOK on how to do Snowboarding games right. The graphics are amazing, the levels and characters are unbelievably detailed. The tricks are so much fun to pull off, and it onbly takes a little bit of practice to be able to do them. The races are always fun, although can get really frustrating when you lose.
Time for "the bad". It takes a long time to complete, a VERY long time. You have to build up not only your character's stats, but get all their clothes as well as their boards. It's fun to start with, and i admit stays fun for a while, but when it gets to the annoying repetitious point, it just bombs
But, until you get to that point, you have a wonderful game, full of awesome tricks and jaw dropping visuals.
THE GOOD: Excellent graphics, easy controls, lots of moves to pull off, enormously detailed levels which are also very large
THE BAD: Gets old very fast, very little if any replay, boring characters
SUMMARY: I was actually pretty surprised with this game when I played it, it was one of the few decent launch titles for the PS2. I'm not that big on snowboarding games but the easy controls made it very easy for me to get used to the game. The levels are enormous and look very nice with large amounts of detail. They're so large you can find multiple shortcuts throught each course or even make your own through the unbeaten path. And along with the easy controls there are tons of moves to pull off and the trick system makes performing them a snap.
If anything negative, this game is probably mostly for beginners since there is no challenge at all and the bright, flashy colors and simplistic look might ward off older players or veterans of...
THE GOOD: This game is great to take your mind off of the pressing issues like what game you will buy next cos this game is da bomb
THE BAD: There is only a limited number of grab tricks and some are hard to pull off
SUMMARY: This game is great for biding time.Grphics and soundtracks are really good.Tricks are really easy to do also. You have no problem liking this game,in my eyes this game is one of the classics that will never be fogotten
THE GOOD: Lots of cool modes, great graphics, awesome tricks, cool characters, cool animation, good snow physics, loads of different modes to choose from in multi-player...
THE BAD: ....
SUMMARY: I really enjoyed this game. It has amazing replay value and you won't regret buying it. You can choose from several different modes to play in multi-player with everyone one of them being entertaining and fun in its own little way.
There are loads of cool characters to choose from as well all with their own style and snowboard to go along with them.
THE GOOD: The graphics vastly overshadow all snowboarding game prior to its release. Which is why it became such an instant hit with everyone.
The gameplay is great, there wasnt alot you could do on, for example, Cool Boarders, trick and race wise. But on this you get both, and then some. There are many tricks personaly to each snowboarder that you must gain to obtain new outfits. The tricks look great, but getting them going and getting them to stop may need some practice. Hense they involved a tutorial in the game, they think of everything at EA Sports.
The riders themeselves have alot of character. They range in fashion and style of racing. Some are better at tricks, others at racing, and if your lucky, there are a couple who are good at both. You win races to get points and improve your stats and get new boards and tracks to race or freestyle in.
Getting these medals gets harder but can be done, you need quite good reflexes on the...
THE GOOD: Its perfect in ever way graphics handleing its all good
THE BAD: nothing at all
SUMMARY: SSX is a great game it has a wide range of characters with each has its own stong point. It has brilliant graphics with the optional sound of your snowboarder coments about whats happening or about oponenets. It has smoth controls witha relitively easy tricks but the harder the tricks the higher the points. The more points you get the more boastes you get to make you go faster. There is a warm up mode wich gives you a step by step course on how to do tricks. There is a mode for the more points you get the the closer you are to a gold medel just for points but there is a time limit which can be extended by going past or through a check point.
THE GOOD: The fact that this is a snowboarding game makes it good.
THE BAD: Not enough levels
SUMMARY: There is many things to do in this game, and you always try your best to get a high score. This game doesn't have enough levels in it to call it that good of a game. The fact that this game has to do with snowboarding got me interested in the game. And this game needs more snowboarders also.
THE GOOD: Amazing eye-candy graphics, innovative controls, a soundtrack to die for, cool (and hilarious) commentary, excellent courses with more shortcuts than you can find - really, ultra-cool international snowboarders, slick fast-paced action and the funnest game ever to be made.
THE BAD: Nothing at all. Trust me. Lets thing of something... too adictive? You won't be able to put it down?
SUMMARY: If you are thinking of buying SSX please don't think twice. Buy it. The launch title of choice on the PS2, this is really a brilliant game. I dont want to go into too much detail - super cool international boarders, amazing graphics, it'll take you months maybe more than a year to fully complete this game. Several different modes - Warmup, Showoff, Single Race, Free ride, and then more of these events in World Championship mode... Trust me, 5/5 is not too high a rating for this game; I don't usually give games too high a rating, but this game...
