Spartan: Total Warrior

THE GOOD:
-Some excellent setpieces
-Lots of enemies on screen at once
-Virtually no slow-down
-A huge variety of weapons
-Engaging storyline
-Lots of slashing and gore
-Arena Challenge Mode adds replayability

THE BAD:
-Some boss battles feel unfair
-Game slackens after first few levels
-Cutscene graphics very poor
-Arrows and camera extremely frustrating
-Dodgy health system

SUMMARY:
Total Warrior does a lot of things right. As far as hack and slash games go, it pretty much ticks all the required boxes. There are hundreds of enemies on the screen at once with practically no slow-down, your character is a killing machine and you've got more than enough shining weaponry to make a mockery of whole armies.

However, Total War also let's itself down in trying to better itself. You almost feel sorry for the game, in that it started off so well. Total Wars best...
