SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs

THE GOOD:
1)Auro aim and help options.
2)creative settings.

THE BAD:
1)terrorists appearing out of nowhere right infront of you.
2)Just terrible AI capabilities. Bravo covering area means they just stare at the wall, then get shot.
3) too much american patriotism
4) Navy seal promotion...might have as well put an application form in the game box
5) many many littles annoying things through out the game

SUMMARY:
Over all this game didn't impress me much. May back then when games like Ghost Recon and Rainbow six games weren't around, it was unique. But now after seeing so much better graphics and high tech intelligence, Socom just deosn't messure up. If I knew what it was like I wouldn't have bought it. If you got some money to spend there are much better games than socom. Conclusion: stay away!

THE GOOD:

THE GOOD:
-Graphics are pretty good
-Guns are cool
-Levels are hard and entertaining
-Area features look so real
-People look real
-Truely doing thing a Seal would do
-True to life things, ex: "You shoot your man, he gets hurt"
-Blood effects
-If you get hit in a certain spot you get an effect. Ex: Shot in the leg, limping begins.

THE BAD:
-Levels are confusing and LONG
-Enimies don't take the true hits. Ex: Shot in the head, they may still be alive.

SUMMARY:
This game is pretty good. I have a couple of favorites parts, like how you can pick up dead bodies and carry them, even if it's your team mate. And how if you get shot, you DO drip blood, and how you can injure your team mates (Maybe no one has tried that, but I have, lol). I'm tired so all I'm going to say is to read the Good and the Bad for my info.

THE GOOD:
This game is one of the best games ever made. Online and offline. The story is good, the weapons, the locales, and the gameplay.

THE BAD:
The bad is the graphics. The graphics ok but they could have been better. The gameplay is good but not the best. A big thing that made SOCOM look bad is when you play online. There are so many glitchers and cheaters that you can't enjoy the game. Glitchers and cheaters now own SOCOM Online.

SUMMARY:
This game is by far one of the best...hands down. If just the gameplay and graphics were better it would have been the best. If glitchers and cheaters were gone it would be the best. So many things were missing but luckily S2 came and fixed all that stuff...sort of. There will always be glitches in the game but you gotta deal with it. All you gotta do is avoid them. Just enjoy the game and don't cheat.

THE GOOD:
execellent graphics, very realistic, great online play, addictive.

THE BAD:
hard to see stuff, sometimes laggy during online play.

SUMMARY:
This game is one of my favorite shooting games. I game it a 4.3 because i'm not really a fan of shooting games, it probably deserve a 5. The graphic of this game is amazing, the details of the terrain and the scene graphics is just great. The weapons are very realistic and the tactics are used in real life. The online play of this game is what sticks out the most. It's very fun to play online and sometimes it's a big challenge against expert players. The damage from the guns are very real unlike some shooting games. This game is overall superb and it's a mustbuy game.

Ready to get your hands on a solid military game? Good.

This game is realistic in almost every single way imaginable.

The graphics are superb. The bushes and trees sway as the wind brushes softly against them. Then the blood splatters against the tree trunk.

The soundtrack is pretty cool, thats probably the only unrealistic part. You won't hear music in the battlefield.

The replay value is great. Once you finish the missions, they leave you wanting more. Then SOCOM 2 comes out, and your crave for more terrorists to kill will be fulfilled.

I hear the multiplayer capabilities are pretty well done, but too bad I only have shitty 56k for internet access.

THE GOOD:
It has great graphics

the weapons that are used are real life weapons. Unlike most games that have weapons that could wipe out an entire race of people in a blink of an eye

THE BAD:
Hard to see some things

can't pickup any enemy ammo

can't heal yourself by having a medkit etc...

SUMMARY:
This game has it all. Great graphics, control and an all around sense of reality. That makes the game more enjoyable. For example the way you shake when you attempt to sniper but if you lay down it lessens the effect a little. There are many weapons to choose from ranging from Silenced Pistols and Desert Eagles to M16's and Multiple Grenade Launchers.

There are not many downsides to this game all except for the inability to heal yourself. I mean soldiers do carry around small medikits into real life battles.

SUMMARY:
Being a retired Navy SEAL gives you the ability to know what the real thing is like. I loved my job and wish that I were 10 years younger to still be a part of the elite. This is a very good example of what the real thing is like. With the exception of your teammates getting directly behind you and firing, killing you instantly. The graphics aren't the best PS2 has to offer, but they are very good. Most of the weapons featured I have actually used in combat. When you beat the game you may want to go back and get a better score on some of the tougher levels. Playing alone can be fun, but playing online with your friends by using the headset is simply incredible. I some times play online with some of my Navy buddies. Besides the A.I....

THE GOOD:
You can crouch and prone, You can command orders to your team with a radio called SOCOM, you can use a headset for yourself to play online with your friends and use the headset to talk, you get a vareity of weapons choices and you can attack with a knife and rifle butt.

THE BAD:
You get killed very easly.

SUMMARY:
Well in my opionion I think this game is a lot like real Navy Seals missions. You d have a little problem getting used to the controls at first but you get used to them. You get a choice in missions: to either be Stealthy or Loud as my stereo. I've got a few PM's asking if you can drive vehicles in this game. I don't think so it's been a while since I've played this game(I kept renting it). The only cntact you get with vehicles is calling in for Air Support in some of your missions. So if you haven't bought, rented or even played this game! Go get yourself a copy as soon as possible.
