SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs

THE GOOD:
This game as to be the best game i have ever played i been playin it for a year and a half and I love it so much. This game should be rated a 10 not a 4.61 or w/e score you got on it now. I cant stop playin this game as soon as i wake up im on socom II and playing with all my friends i met all over the country I think this SOCOM 3 will be yet even better than socom 2 by the way i think is impossible anyway thanks for the great game and keep em coming.

THE BAD:
THERE IS NOT A SINGLE THING WRONG! ! ! ! ! ! !

THE GOOD:
Well, this game is pretty open ended in what is "good" or "bad" about it. It depends on what you like about a game. But, I'll just stick with the basics-

THIS GAME ROCKS!!!

Gameplay: Great online game. In a room with good connection, runs pretty smooth. Updates are about every so often, when you least expect them. Forces you to employ teamwork or else you lose. And as for the SP, there isn't much too it. Very simple, so there's hardly any replay value here. Still, it enforces good teamwork, and has some nice MP rewards if you win.

Variety: Online, you can be a terrorist or a SEAL. You have voice command and you can chat online with your buds. Good modes of play, there is no "bad" mode to play in. Nice maps and variety in maps. Good variety in weapons.

Replay value: Online = never-ending.

Weapons: Nice variety in them, mainly seperate weapons for Terrorist and SEAL. Forces you to use different strats on each...

THE GOOD:
unlockable charecters, optional missions, online play, you can blow up things, long lasting game play,

THE BAD:
to save you must beat a level, online rank^, enize is to hard for many people, glitch rooms

SUMMARY:
online play!:
to plant a bomb you must, frist get the satchet, delieve to its perpuse, aim tords the place your planting it, hold down the action buton, protect the bomb from being defused.
GNK means "glitch no kill" if you do kill some one you should send a taunt that shows you had a happy trigger, if you are shot by the other side, dont shoot back onless its a non-respawn game, vote of mad-killers, and the god gitch is for homos!!

THE GOOD:
Offline Mode: Pretty good storyline, Good Graphics, Great controls, Good enemy AI. Offline score: 4/5
Online Mode: Excellent! You name it... It has it. Buddy lists, Excellent maps, New clan control additions, More servers, No Cheaters! Real actual rankings! More overall control in the whole game; These include: chat controls, mic controls. And it will be compatible with the HDD. Online score 6/5.
Both scores combined: 5/5.

THE BAD:
Offline: You must go through the game 3 times in different difficulties to unlock some online additions.
Online: Nothing; EXCELLENT ONLINE MODE!

SUMMARY:
*A must buy if you have broadband and a PS2.
*Online mode is excellent; A much bigger step from the original SOCOM.
*Addiction Warning. If you want to play it online, you must atleast have 3 hours of online play available each day. I play it for much longer.

THE GOOD:
Smart AI,Complex missions,More weapons,Online,Voice commands,Team acually follows u and kills enemys,NO BOOMER,Detailed characters-missions and story line

THE BAD:
Broadband only,Graphics need little more work, THATS IT

This game is so much better than SOCOM 1 or ANY other squad based combat games.. It puts other games to shame when u play this cause the gameplay is there with great sound quality so u acually feel like ur sittin in a bush overhearing a conversation between 2 terriorists..This game is a must have for anyone who is interested in SEALs, military combat, or just blowing crap up and shooting people....Also before the missions you decide how u go in to a combat zone silent or loud not caring what happens. BUT there is consiquences if u go loud u alert the enemy ur next mission will be harder cause they know ur there...That is just how good this game is... SO stop reading this and go...

THE GOOD:
Realistic movements, guns, online play, great voice commands

THE BAD:
Easily blown missions because your team decided to go ahead when you tell them to stay put.

SUMMARY:
This is a great game to play if you like special forces. There are many different weapons to choose from on 9 different missions. These missions are not easy by any means. There are multipe tasks on each level and if you mess up one you lose the mission.

There are a couple of glitches in the game, but what game dosen't? Sometimes you team, consisting of Able and Bravo, do not obey your commands and get killed in action.

Other than single player mode is an online feature that is continued from last year. There are a ton of players online so you can always get a game to play, the boards online take a little getting used to but still fun trying to shoot people, especially ones you don't know. This is a must for 3rd person shooter fans, When i got broadband march when i found out it was available in my area i got the broadband and bought socom 1! JUST for socom 1! I stopped playing it around october and waited for Socom II came out.... I went through alot to get the damn game, My ps2 broke almost forked out 179 for one intill i tried opening the ps2, forked out 50 for a mic EVEN before i had the game, then wal mart was out i kept going to alot of places in till i said "*bleep* it, I'll just order online" When i finnaly got the game i was SO happy, i played all night and tried to pull an all nighter but i was afraid my dad was gonna wake up so i went to bed at 4:30. THE GOOD:
Online play, good offline missions, great graphics, lots of weapons to choose from..

SUMMARY:
Obviously this series earned its reputation because of the amazing online play. SOCOM 1 was probably the single greatest online game ever made, at least in my opinion. It had great weapons, great graphics and awesome replay value. The only bad thing about SOCOM 1 was the cheaters that ran rampant through the rooms ruining everyones games. I hated it. It pissed me off and I even thought about giving up SOCOM all together.

I didn't give it up because Zipper announced that SOCOM 2 wouldn't have cheaters. I was pretty pleased with this and couldn't wait for the game. It came out, has twice as many online levels, and several more weapons to choose from. The best thing is...NO CHEATERS! The only other thing I'm not too happy with is rocket launchers. THE GOOD:
Well SO FAR it looks like there is no cheating while playing online. As far as regular gameplay I am very pleased by the changes they made.

THE BAD:
Nothing bad yet, so far.

SUMMARY:
Well I have been playing online since the game came out on November 5th, and I have already heard from others that there are those that have figured out how to cheat online. I havent seen it myself so until I do Im not going gripe. They say it's impossible to cheat on SOCOM 2 online, however people also said the Titanic was unsinkable. I just hope the administrators work hard to make SOCOM 2 online fair, and keep up with updating their system to prevent cheating, as well as banning the cowards that cheat. I like the new weapons and maps. The RPG's and granade launchers make it more fun and entertaining. The missions are more challenging and feed into the addictivness of the game.

THE BAD:
AI could still use alittle work

SUMMARY:
This game has greatly improved since it's debut. The AI is smarter, the maps much bigger, better weapons better everything. Onething I must comment on is the increase of cover. In the first one there wasn't enough cover to cover you let alone you whole team. In this version there is much more coverage to hide behind and take out enimies or if your the gun-hoe type with the rocket launcher and shotgun you can attempt to charge in but you won't get far since the AI can now provide better cover fire, use cover much more effectivly and their aim has greatly improved.

For the single player scenario their are many different places to visit ranging from Brazil to Russia to Sea. Like in Freedom Fighters this game...
