THE GOOD:
Great gameplay, lots of different modes to choose from, awesome missions, cool cars, ability to run over people, funny commentary, cool music, great multi-player modes...

THE BAD:
Repetitive missions...

SUMMARY:
I bought this game the day it came out and I have enjoyed it ever since. Its a great game that you won't regret playing.

There are loads of different modes to choose from in multi-player, all with their own level of fun factor and replay value. This game's replay value is through the roof. You wouldn't believe it!

Overall Outcome: Buy It!

THE GOOD:
Good Graphics, Realistic Physics, Sprawling Levels

THE BAD:
End Levels Are Nearly Impossible

SUMMARY:
This was one of the 1st games I got for the PS2 (year after release of PS2 is when I got the system) and I was pretty impressed by it considering it was a release title.

I like the graphics on it and the levels are very, very big and take like 3 minutes to get across going top speed.

The gameplay is very cool and unique and two player is fun. The storyline mode is great except for the last few levels, they are nearly impossible to beat without almost throwing the game out the window.

The physics in the game are very realistic and the way the cars fall apart correctly is a very cool touch added by Rockstar.

THE GOOD:
Huge playing area, control of vehicles and very easy to play

THE BAD:
graphics a little basic, missions very similar

SUMMARY:
Although Smugglers run is superbly fun, after an hour or so of play youll either be :- a) so bored your asleep on the chair with the game still playing (b) red in the face, vain throbing in the forehead cursing the day you bought this "devil child" of a game (c) have no telly/playstation 2/ cd cos youve just set it alight threw sheer frustration (d) loving every minute as you speed through the countryside evading the border patrol like you would a huge hairy snake.
you see everyone will react differently to this game it depends if you like things simple to understand yet infuriating to complete. I myself fit into category B.
